★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We hadden een grandioze middag met Jesus als onze persoonlijke gids. Wat een prachtige entree in de cenote, Hunab ku, de ene God. Witte paden omzoomd door palmen leiden ons naar een douche muur, om schoon de cenote in te kunnen gaan. We werden eerst naar de open cenote gebracht waar we zwommen en kanoden. Een stilteoord midden in de jungle, geen autos, alleen maar vogels.
Jesus hielp ons door zijn enthousiasme en blijheid over onze drempelvrees heen. In de ondergrondse cenote met snorkel en bril kon ik mij helemaal in vertrouwen overgeven. Een nieuwe wereld, zo helder, zo puur met vissen en stalagtieten. Het was een onvergetelijke ervaring , mede door het prachtmens Jesus.
In een voor mij heilig moment werden we aan het begin van onze reis door de cenote door een sjamaan toegebeden en bewierookt, waarmee toestemming gevraagd werd aan de goden om de cenote in te mogen.

We had a wonderful afternoon with Jesus as our personal guide. What a beautiful entrance into the cenote, Hunab ku, the one God. White paths lined by palms lead us to a shower wall, to enter the cenote cleanly. We were first taken to the open cenote where we swam and canoeed. A quiet place in the middle of the jungle, no cars, only birds.
Jesus helped us through his enthusiasm and joy over our fear of thresholds. In the underground cenote with snorkel and goggles I could surrender completely in confidence. A new world, so bright, so pure with fish and stalactites. It was an unforgettable experience, partly because of the wonderful man Jesus.
At the beginning of our journey through the cenote, in a moment sacred to me, we were prayed and incensed by a shaman, asking permission from the gods to enter the cenote.
