★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Most beautiful cenote that we visited in the Yucatan peninsula. It’s a small place with two cenotes, of which one (we didn’t visit the other) is accessible with a ladder. The cenote is in a cave and with only a tiny bit of luck you will be the only visitor. Access is a bit pricey but absolutely worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were awestruck by this natural cenote. You walk down a spiral stair that descends into absolute darkness. Then you swim through a passage to be able to exit through another hole to the surface. Our guide was very helpful and provided flashlights. He even cleansed us with natural copal after our cleansing journey through the ancient underworld. What a truly amazing experience. We spent about an hour and we’re the only people there. We also got to see a tarantula!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The most authentic untouched cenote experience, it is cave-like and underground but the experience is magical! Definitely worth the trip least crowded and most natural surroundings. If you want to take instagram photos ho somewhere else. If you want to see some real jungle and get check out a truly natural cenote this is the place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don’t tell anyone about this quite cenote with super nice Mayan couple making tou feel comfortable. Pastor speaks very good English and will tell you all about his land and the history. The cenote is underground and connected to an underground river. Divers spent more than 5 hours in there ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing and authentic cenote. A father and his son where there and they both speak good english. If you’re searching for a non-touristy and private cenote, this is the place to go. Also talk to Pastor, he has a lot of interesting info about the cenote and the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ That was a breathtaking experience. Private tour through the jungle to find this magical entrance to the cenote. No other tourists bothering. It’s a bit further out of town, that‘s most likely the reason only few people visit this place. I hope it stays that way. The tour and explanations were great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is a gem. Not just the place itself but also the people who take care of it. Pastor and his son put so much love and care into it, making it a truly unique and authentic experience.
This cenote is for adventurers and explorers - you can see the actual tunnel system from just looking underneath the surface. If you’re and experienced scuba diver, you can even enter the cenote close by and descent through a tiny hole in the ground.
Big thanks to Pastor and his son for being such good hosts, making the place what it is now and telling us all about the wildlife and the history of this place.
