my iPhone got stolen from my backpack from San Cristobal de las Casas to Palenque (with several stops) using ADO. After talking with other tourists, it seems there is a robbery routine going on for any route to Palenque. There ARE thieves that purposely go on ADO to steal your valuables while you fall asleep. Writing this to warn others to keep your belongings close by your side, keep your phone on with Find My iphone app on. - Why is there no security camera on board? - Why no investigation to the guy who sat beside me and dissappeared after i woke up (most likely took it)? so he can board on and steal from people again? - Dont put anything in the top compartment of the ADO bus that is of any value. EDIT - after speaking with many tourists, it seems they were robbed on their way TO Palenque on the ADO from various cities. They suspect the bus driver possibly are in the know with the thieves for side pay. The bus driver seemed remorseless when I was freaking about my stolen phone.

They stole all my money and my mobile also from Merida to Palenque during my night trip. Be careful all of you

The service is excellent, close to downtown and it's a good idea to buy the tickets in advance.

A new and modern ADO terminal that is easy to use and not crowded. The only negative is that the bathroom is up a flight of stairs and costs money.

We took the night bus from ADO, 00:35 from Campeche to Palenque. The buses are high standard, very clean, and modern with very comfertable seats. The ticket isnt that cheap and you have to register your name when you buy the ticket online. All that things let us think that this company will be a safe transport. I had my bag with me on my seat to the feets. My boyfriend put his bag on the bagholder on the top. And the big backpack was in the trunk. When we arrived in Palenque, we reconized that all our stuff was stolen, out of our bags that we carried with us. They stole money, bankcards, kreditcards, laptop, speakers, driving license and mobile phones. They where very carefully and it looked like they had plenty of time, because they chose wisely which cards they like to take and the rest they put back in the purse and backpack. They did this during we fall asleep. But i'm sure they used a gas or something, because i slept trough the whole drive, and almost couldnt open my eyes, whats really weird for a bus drive, where i'm normally cant sleep at all. When we left the car and reconized that all our stuff was stolen, we spoke to the driver and he didnt care at all. So try to avoid this company, and if you drive with ADO be careful, dont fall asleep, keep your eyes open and hold your bag as tight and close as possible.

Clean, easy to use, mostly helpful staff. Bring your own food and drinks, very limited choices inside terminal
