Not here to complain about their rates (though they could have been better) â I want to help prevent other travels from getting ripped off. Make sure you check their math and check your receipt.
I exchanged 170 USD at 18.50 pesos. I received the pesos and a receipt showing 170 x 18.5 = 2,831. After counting the cash and reviewing the receipt, it seemed unusually low. I recalculated, and realized I was supposed to get 3,145. Thatâs a difference of 314 pesos â 16ish USD (depending on the rate).
They claimed it was the wrong receipt, recalculated a new receipt, and gave me the additional 314.
Seems fishy. See pictures of receipts below. Either a bad calculator or bad moral compass ;)
