★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un lugar para eventos dentro de un edifio con mucha historia, en 1899 se comenzó la obra como hospital civil, una de las tres grandes obras del Presidente Porfirio Díaz en Durango, junto con el teatro Ricardo Castro y la Penitencia del Estado, se detuvo su contrucción en 1904, de 1911 a 1937 fue utilizado como cuartel militar dando acabado al edificio, en 1937 por instrucciones del entonces presidente Gral. Lázaro Cárdenas, se le dio uso como Internado Nº 8 para Hijos del Ejercito "Juana Villalobos" el cual funcionó hasta 1996, en 1997 paso a ser Conjunto Cultural Durango y continúo así hasta el año 2008 dónde se comenzó a adecuar para dar paso a ser el "Centro de Convenciones Bicentenario" inaugurado de manera oficial en 2010, en el Marco del Bicentenario de la Independencia de México.
A place for events within a building with a lot of history, in 1899 the work began as a civil hospital, one of the three great works of President Porfirio Díaz in Durango, together with the Ricardo Castro theater and the State Penance, its construction in 1904, from 1911 to 1937 it was used as a military barracks finishing the building, in 1937 by instructions of the then president General Lázaro Cárdenas, it was used as Boarding School No. 8 for Children of the Army "Juana Villalobos" which worked until 1996, in 1997 it became Durango Cultural Complex and it continued until 2008 where it began to adapt to become the "Bicentennial Convention Center" officially inaugurated in 2010, in the framework of the Bicentennial of the Independence of Mexico.
