Sin duda un excelente lugar para divertirse y aprender. Gracias a todos en CEA
 Well, as a volunteer, it has been a really productive experience, I learn what we sometimes take for granted, however the fabulous support and patience of Elizabeth Vega, who infects us with her energy, enthusiasm and wisdom, I have learned a lot. Definitely an excellent place to have fun and learn. Thank you all at CEA

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Me fui al CEA a hacer un voluntariado de monitoreo de tortugas y me pareció una excelente experiencia. La gente del CEA son excelentes personas, muy amables y siempre atentas a que l@s voluntari@s estemos contentos. Tiene una excelente ubicación a pocos pasos del mar y esta cerca de restaurantes deliciosos. Recomiendo ir por algun tiempo a hacer un voluntariado. aprendes muchisismo y pasas un rato genial!!!
I went to CEA to do a turtle monitoring volunteer and it seemed like an excellent experience. The people of the CEA are excellent people, very friendly and always attentive to the volunteers being happy. It has an excellent location a few steps from the sea and is close to delicious restaurants. I recommend going for a while to volunteer. you learn a lot and have a great time !!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We tried too visit it yesterday but it was closed for construction. Would be nice to have correct opening hours or directions on the website or a sign at the street. Also, it was very hard to find, it is the building behind the diving center on the right.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I spent 6 months volunteering with CEA, and loved every minute of it! The staff was so welcoming and friendly. They helped me find the ways I could best put my talents to work in support of their mission. The Centro Ecologico Akumal is doing such important work to improve the environment, protect marine life and educate people on the importance of both.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Public beach, however there is a 120 pesos fee as it is an ecologic center. The income helps protect the turtles and supports the local community.
There is the option to snorkel with a guarantee to see turtles. My Son and wife did it and indeed they were able to spot several turtles. The tour last about 1.5 hours.
As far as parking when you get to Akumal there is a parking lot for 50 pesos all day or there is the options to pay by hour (20 pesos) next to the ecological center.
