Aquí se celebra año con año las elecciones de reina de belleza en el marco de la feria de las rosas a menos que al comité de la feria se le ocurra otro lugar. Esto se celebra en el auditorio que se encuentra a un lado de la escuela Venustiano Carranza. Se celebra cada sábado por noviembre hasta que se elige una ganadora. También se celebran otros eventos políticos y recreativos a lo largo del año.
Junto al auditorio hay una fuente que usualmente está apagada y llena de tierra. Junto a las casas que se encuentran junto al lugar hay una serie de juegos para niños que están en mal lugar porque no tienen ni una sombra durante el día, les hace falta aceite y además los zanates llenan el lugar con el aroma de sus heces. Más adelante también hay algunas canchas de basquetbol que durante el día están llenas de sol pero de noche, cumplen muy bien su función. Frente a la cancha principal se encuentra el kiosco que ya no tiene barandales.
Los árboles, el césped y las plantas todos están muy bien cuidados. De día el parque se ve muy bonito. De noche también está muy bien iluminado.
Mención aparte son los mencionados zanates que si te estacionas debajo de un árbol lo dejarán lleno de popó, no exagero; literalmente. Además hacen mucho ruido.
En general, se hace lo que se puede para cuidar este lugar pero se podría hacer mucho más por él.
This place has been for many years the symbol of Villa Hidalgo. Here the beauty queen elections are held year after year in the framework of the rose fair unless the fair committee comes up with another place. This is celebrated in the auditorium that is next to the Venustiano Carranza school. It is celebrated every Saturday in November until a winner is chosen. Other political and recreational events are also held throughout the year.
Next to the auditorium is a fountain that is usually turned off and full of dirt. Next to the houses that are next to the place there are a series of games for children that are in bad place because they do not have a shadow during the day, they need oil and in addition the carrots fill the place with the aroma of their feces. Later there are also some basketball courts that during the day are full of sun but at night, they fulfill their function very well. In front of the main court is the kiosk that no longer has railings.
The trees, grass and plants are all very well maintained. During the day the park looks very pretty. At night it is also very well lit.
Mention apart are the mentioned carrots that if you park under a tree they will leave it full of poop, I do not exaggerate; literally. They also make a lot of noise.
In general, what you can do to take care of this place is done, but much more could be done for it.
