★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This church just celebrated its bicentennial. Each year on August 15th the town celebrates the Feast of the Assumption of Santa Maria(Virgin of Guadalupe) into Heaven. There are two nights of fireworks on 100' towers, and loads of hand-launched black powder rockets which explode 200 feet up in the air.
The street is filled with carnival rides and vendors selling food and souveniers.
