Anteriormente allí se ubicaban las viviendas de los trabajadores de la fábrica de textiles de Cerritos, al cerrar la fábrica quedaron abandonadas, sus calles de terracería, sin alumbrado público y cuando pasó a formar parte del municipio de Orizaba ese terreno, se pavimentaron las calles, se instaló alumbrado público y tiempo después se acondicionó como mercado y las casas se derrumbaron para dejarlo como estacionamiento y se remodeló el parque público con juegos infantiles y una fuente. Aun se pueden aprecias las enormes instalaciones, bodegas, patios, etc..(actualmente usadas para mercado de pulgas y comida). En la zona posterior aun se aprecian algunos arcos del acueducto que abastecía la fábrica ?. Disfruta de los helados de ? sabores.
