Dispone de excelentes vistas en acantilados y es un referente en el montañismo de la Zona Centro del Estado de Veracruz y la región. Si te gusta hacer ejercicio, subir cerros, caminata, etc y crees tener condición para aguantar desde 3 horas hasta 5 horas dependiendo, para terminar el día acampando y soportando el frío de las altas montañas de la zona al rededor de una fogata, está experiencia es para ti sin duda. Recomiendo subir por la comunidad del Berro qué pasa un camión y te deja a 5 minutos caminando para comenzar la subida de este lugar. Recomiendo llevar la suficiente agua (3 litros por persona) y ropa para soportar el frío. La zona de camping es amplia y puedes obtener mucha madera útil para una fogata sin la necesidad de dañar árboles sanos. El mirador hacia Orizaba está más adelante de la zona de camping y si o si tienes que visitarla cuando se ponga el sol (6pm aprox) o al salir el sol (6am aprox) Las vistas de este lugar hará que valga la pena todo el esfuerzo, el frío y el cansancio. Adjuntare fotos de mi experiencia y vistas para que te animes a ir. A challenging experience.
