Cesar Cabrera DDS - 88810 Nuevo Progreso

Do not recommend – this is a man who doesn’t care about his patients and overcharges for services. I knew I had to have a lot of dental work done and found Dr. Cesar Cabrera online. He had a couple of good reviews so I decided to take a chance and see him. When I entered his office, I noticed it was quite old, but thought he was an experienced dentist. He did my exam and then told me that I needed 4 bridges and a root canal which would cost me $5k which half had to be paid upfront and the other half paid when the service was done. I made the first payment and had him start the work. Because the bridges required my teeth to be filed down, I was left with both sides of my teeth and my front teeth filed. Rather than giving me temporary teeth so I could eat, he allowed me to leave. My husband was looking to have services done as well, but after a cleaning (which was not properly done), he told him that he also needed a root canal and going to cost him $1400. We decided to hold on the services and go home for the day. The next day, we were talking to a few other people in our hotel in Progreso Texas who were horrified to hear of our experience. They often cross the border to Mexico and recommended we go to the Integra Medical Centre instead of going back to Dr. Cesar. So we did that. They told us that Dr. Cesar’s recommendation of doing a root canal on a wisdom tooth didn’t make sense and to remove it instead. We did so and when they saw that I was without temporary teeth, gave me some for free while I decided what to do next because they told me that I couldn’t go without eating, something Dr. Cesar didn’t seem to care about. In the end I didn’t go back to Dr. Cesar but wanted to share my story. Would not recommend this dentist at all and in hindsight, wish I had shopped around before committing to him -- ~

I have been going to Dr Cabrera’s for 6 years. I can say without a doubt that he is one of the best dentists I have been to. I worked for the state and many state employees go to him for dental work. There was even a huge write up about him in I believe a Houston newspaper. I stay in one of the hotels on the Texas side. What I pay in gas and hotel is still thousands cheaper than getting work done in thr USA. Dr Cabrera has a clean office and is extremely gentle. He speaks English so that is not a problem Do not hesitate or have any concern in allowing him to do your dental work.

Dr. Cabrera is very competent, and his prices are very reasonable. I had two wisdom teeth extraction and eleven fillings. He did an excellent job. I was very impressed by his work ethic and professionalism. For future dental work, I plan to see Dr. Cabrera.

I was very impressed by his work ethic and professionalism. My cost was about 15-20% of what the cost would have been in the US and my insurance will be reimbursing me for some of the cost as well. I plan to see Dr. Cabrera forfutire dental work.
