This was an excellent experience that I was fortunate enough to share with members of my family. Blanca was a wonderful host and made booking the experience super easy. I feel so fortunate for all the wisdom and history Joshave shared with us. He explained thoroughly the various stages we were going to be experiencing accompanied by mixtures of herbs and fruits customized to awaken the senses and rejuvenate our bodies and mind. I highly recommend Ceviarem Temazcal and look forward to coming back in the not so distant future.

Ever since my first temazcal (2018)I had here, I’ve been coming back every time I need one. The people here are super friendly, helpful and cater to your needs and are very welcoming! Every temazcal is a new experience, a must try here in oaxaca.

Life-changing. First time I've ever done a temezcal. Would do it again. It is a spiritual experience. You feel unsafe for about ten seconds and then let go. Everything in the temezcal is so cleansing. The shaman did such a great job making the space safe and open. Without giving too much away, you are put in a stone dome with your party, wearing what you'd wear to a sauna. The ritual is a combination of scent-based cleansing and touch-based cleansing. Scent-based means the shaman throws different liquids into hot coals to create an aroma in the space that stimulates in different ways. Touch-based means you rub what is at best called a smoothie (fruits and vegetables blended with water) over your body. The ritual has you do a handful of each of these cleansings. The output I got was that I felt lighter and cleaner. The shaman does a good job using the heat in the oven to change your body temperature so you're warm but not hot anywhere inside. Highly recommend, would do again.

i visited ceviarem temazcal with a group of 15 and we had the most wonderful time. blanca was a lovely hostess who helped us every step of the way (and we were sometimes a complicated group!) and our individual + collective experiences were incredibly memorable and impactful. hope i get to return soon!

The temazcal was amazing, we were given many creams, oils and other infusions to rub on our skins. Afterwards I felt refreshed and like I was floating. I would highly recommend this place for it’s relaxed atmosphere, the friendliness of the owners and for that they speak English as well as Spanish and are therefore good for people who don’t speak Spanish perfectly.

We had the best experience here! I had never even heard of a Temazcal ceremony prior to coming to Oaxaca but would now highly recommend it to everyone! Blanca was wonderful and so easy to communicate with. It was such a unique, soothing and healing experience. Her mother-in-law, who led our ceremony, made us feel comfortable and we walked away with immense appreciation for this ritual. Thank you! We’ll be back!
