★ ★ ★ ★ ★ These people are fraud! They charge you for whatever they want with no explanation and nickel and dime you for everything after you leave their resort. Not a 5 star resort at all . Reception is rude and after speaking with the manager Linda she was so rude and condescending I don’t know how they do business. I would stay clear there are much better options out there .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst experience ever! From the beginning to the end. Not to mention it was our honeymoon! The front desk was rude and unfriendly. I’m surprised this resort is on American Express Fine Hotels and Resorts list. Our room was filthy after we waited 1 hour for them to clean it. There was ants everywhere!! We called the front seat 3 times and no one came to clean it. Front desk manager didn’t care how unhappy we were and didn’t try to make things better. Very disappointing. NEVER coming back!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful property. Very remote. Great privacy. Food was beyond magnificent. Got the opportunity to give the chef his accolades. As a travel agent I would for sure book my clients here. One drawback is they need to offer golf cart services around the property as the pathways can become confusing. Overall very special place to disconnect.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overpriced place with shabby customer service and mediocre spa. We have asked the reception desk to turn on the pool heater in our Villa on which the reception desk rep said that the heater is broken. You would think that a thousand dollars a night would give you a stellar customer service, forget about it. Seven hours later they finally fixed the pool. That's first.
Second, if you think a top notch place would have azure beaches with clear water, you are wrong. The beaches are not maintained hence no people at the beach. If you like dumpster diving you may find things like cellophane bags in the water and other trinkets of such kind.
Rooms on the other hand are amazing but the customer service and the beach are simply mangy.
One last thing about SPA. Recommend to add a salt room, dry sauna, additional jacuzzi, and make it look at least like a Korean sauna a place where you can actually relax and not share your jacuzzi with other families. It is supposed to be a get away place.
If you want to spend a thousand dollars a night, reconsider traveling to this location.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don’t stay at the Chable Maroma if you came for the Wellness Center and relaxation in the spa. For over $200 per service we were ignored, passed up for another client who was delayed in arrival and not given any explanation of why we stood with no assistance waiting to have our services. We decided to cancel our appointments out of principal. Save your money and stay at the Rosewood where service is their primary goal as guests of their hotel. We will not be coming back; however, to be fair balanced the price per room and the food is worth the money. We don’t go on vacation expecting a better room than our home. We visit destinations to have relaxation and this is not the place for that.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This resort is a gem. If you are looking for a quiet, restorative, retreat, consider a stay here! The grounds are beautiful and the design of the buildings allows a great sense of privacy while being enveloped in nature. The lovely pool and beach areas elicited wows from us every morning - it is even more spectacular than the photos portray.
Being a small property, it never feels crowded - there's definitely nobody scrambling to claim "the good" beach chairs at dawn, and staff is always present and helpful without being obtrusive. We loved the extra little touches like the ability to request complimentary coffee and a pastry to your room in the morning. It added to the unhurried pace of the place.
Every staff person we encountered was warm, professional, and knowledgeable - particularly Pamela, Ernesto, Marco and Humberto, who greeted us so warmly whenever we came to the dining room, as well as Aram in the concierge office who (and this is a little embarrassing) gave me a ziploc bag from his own lunch so that I could repack my toiletries at the end of our stay. If it were possible to pour kindness and healing into a massage, I would tell you that Angelina in the spa was able to do it.
We hope to have the chance to return again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I agree with a lot of the most recent reviews. They didn’t heat our villa pool and kept saying it was as warm as it can be and it was freezing. Finally after many requests they warmed the pool to where we could use it. We also paid for private transportation to and from the hotel through the resort. They sent me instructions stating someone would be waiting for us with the hotel sign. When we landed nobody with a hotel sign was there. I asked another random taxi driver and he found someone who called our driver. He was not there. The hotel said I could contact them on WhatsAp but they didn’t reply. The private transportation finally arrived and didn’t even offer water. The worst was when we checked out I paid my bill with the front desk in the morning. Then when we were getting ready to leave on our return transportation to the airport a different front desk person stated I owed them another $525 that the last person didn’t charge me. This was because they forgot to charge daily fees for my kids. Our travel company had already paid this but they made me pay this before getting on the shuttle. Long story short they admitted the $525 was their error and would refund me. They have yet to do so and keep avoiding my calls and requests. The front desk managers hide behind the desk and are never available. They make others talk to you and nothing ever happens. Linda is of no help and has not apologized or tried to make the situation right. Avoid this place at all costs!
