Che Bacalar Hostel & Bar - 77935 Bacalar

i stayed there crowd very European, one of the employees at front desk after hours took myself and a group from hostel to a dangerous entrance to the lagoon and i injured my foot bad , all i can say is that i did not have a great experience hostel yak is much better

Truly the worst. I though it was going to be like the other Che Hotels but the music was terrible. Same lame playlist all afternoon every night. Also too expensive considering is just opening and it's not fully finished. Disappointed, changed to Yak that had live DJ for the same price and in front of the lagoon.

Plays music all day the same as other Ches, but is a bit more chilled out like the town of Bacalar. The hostel is a bit new and rough around the edges and some activities are not happening due to being understaffed, but Felipe and Claire are great. All dorms could do with a privacy curtain but the hostel is super clean, showers have lots of space and shelves and you can chill by the pool all day :)

Lovely hostel with cool communal area. People are friendly, lots of activities. Staff helps you with all your questions. Clean, hot water and very comfortable beds. Only thing I missed was a privacy curtain in the female dorm.

Staff are all super friendly and so helpful. Helped with recommendations around Bacalar, and the bag storage was a lifesaver. Check out is at 11 but my bus wasn't until later in the evening and they allowed me to store my bag behind a locked door and still use the facilities for the day! Thanks for such a memorable stay ✌?

Went here for 3 night in a dorm. Dorm was good although it was a bit small for a total of 8 people. The terrace was very nice with a cooling swimming pool. In the evening there were nice parties in the hostel but also in the neighborhood. The only thing what was a bit annoying was a large group of Dutch people crashing the place.

Great location, comfy rooms (we stayed in a private room), good showers, just be aware that the hot water can take quite a while to come on and the water pressure is low, as expected in Mexico) and plenty of outdoor areas to sunbath/work/chill, both covered and uncovered. There's a nice pool (not really ideal for swimming, more for chilling out in) with lots of sun loungers and the bar area is good. Plenty of free drinking water available in the bar area and the covered area upstairs. Activities every night which are optional. Only thing I would recommend is to eat elsewhere - the food isn't great and very expensive for what it is; there are plenty of great places within 5 mins walk to eat.

Super nice staff very helpful and always smiling. Amenities are great, and as most Che hostels there is a party vibe, but there is also room to redraw yourself from this if it's not your pot of tea. The hostel arrange some super cool tours which you might find elsewhere but they just do it better ? Perfectly awesome hostel 5 stars all around. Worth a visit.
