Wayyyyyy nicer place than Leo's unless you're really into eating with drunken kids, pretending to be able to sing along with the karaoke machine at volume 11.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best food in Potrero Chico. Very friendly owner (who speaks English well), delicious healthy food, and cozy atmosphere. The daily specials are always incredible. The prices are very good. This was our favorite place for dinner by far!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly place, tasty horchata. The vegan options listed on the menu don't exist, he seemed confused when I tried to order them. Which is always a bummer. Otherwise some of the food was good, some mediocre. I prefer Leo's across the street, he makes great food whether you're vegan or eat meat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Oh their food is absolutely scrumptious and the price is affordable. Their mole is homemade and out-of-this-world good. Keep an eye on their dinner specials, because that’s really where this eatery shines. Amazing homemade tamales, stuffed peppers, baked chicken, creamy flan, etc etc. Service is friendly and attentive, but can be a bit slow. But everything is made fresh to order, so sit tight, and in the meantime, tend to your limestone-inflicted finger wounds. A well-deserved five stars.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Spent 9 days in El Potrero Chico and ate at Checo's everyday. Had the cheapest and best vegetarian options in the area ! The family who owns the restaurant has been working hard to greatly extend the vegetarian and vegan options and they're doing great! Definitely check them out!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chico's restaurant is a local spot for inexpensive grub. Climbers keep the restaurant busy during the season and frequent there for dinner daily. Food is good, however, it takes a while to come out, so go with the intention to sit around and chat.
