★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Be careful of the amount you give to the check out people. Today I purchased 139 worth of food and gave Anahi Ruiz Perez a 500 peso bill. She needed to get change and left for about 5 minutes and came back with 2 - 200 and 1 - 100 peso bills. She then opened her till and gave me change back as of if I paid her 200 pesos. I informed her I gave her a 500 and she shook her head. I asked why she would have to go get change for a 200 peso bill and come back with 500 in change when she had the change in her till. She shook her head and said she didn't understand. Lesson learnt and we will not shop there anymore

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Big supermarket/big box store with lots of stuff and good prices. Has just about anything you need whether you're staying in the area for a few days or a few months. Staff is very friendly, though as with many places in town you will need to speak Spanish if you have any questions. Things are well labeled though so you can get by even if you don't.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love how quiet, clean, is Huatulco. Locals are really friendly since they depend on tourism. Hopefully stays quiet! and not a lot of development!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ we have unfortunately shopped here twice and had to throw out chicken the next day because it was spoiled and ground beef from the butchers case. any non perishables are ok but meat and produce are poorly handled. We noticed an empty store and now we know why!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Given the size of the city I guess it's fair to say this Chedraui is just fair to midling. There is not always a good selection of fresh produce or imported goods which surprises me, given the size of the expat population here and the fact that it is a major tourist destination. But it is a Chedraui and carries most of the standard grocery store fare, just not always.
