Chedraui - Puerto Aventuras - 77733 Puerto Aventuras

While my first couple of experiences at this store were just fine the events on Monday March 8 2021 destroyed that. Shortly after entering the store at 11 am my purse was stolen by professional thieves that may have been caught if the management had allowed the police to look at the security camera footage. They couldn't even be bothered to take my name and contact information. While it may not have been their fault it was stolen their actions lead me to believe possible involvement. I am now a homeowner trying to support the Mexican economy I will not be shopping at Chedraui in the future.

BEWARE OF THIEF who break into cars ! Some one broke into our car day light while we shop in Chedraui. Our car have AMERICA CAR RENTAL sticker and no alarm. Very easy target for the thief. Please always REMEMBER DO NOT LEAVE ANY valuebles in the car!

I am staying in Tulum for 6 months..but come to this Chedraui rather than the one in Tulum for large shopping. It is really well organized, has anything you could possibly want, the employees really try and help you..God Bless the woman in the pharmacy who has endless patience with tourists like me! It is large, does not have music blasting and has a great a/c. I always find everything I need and the cashier's are super nice. If they ask you a question at the register that is beyond your basic Spanish..they are probably asking if you have a Chedraui Card..or after they ring up your items they might be asking you if you want to buy a scratch off lotto card. You can get Garrafón of Water by bringing your empty to the service desk at the front, they give you a ticket and you show that to the cashier at the check out. My favorite things to buy..Milanesa meat, Pan Molido (bread crumbs) Chipotle mayonnaise..and ingredients to make pico de gallo. I just do my shopping every 3 weeks now and buying everything I need usually is less than $70.

Well stocked grocery store with a nice bakery and good produce.

Beware of professional thieves at this store, 2 females stole money while distracting us with questions regarding the location of specific items and the price scanner. These are organized thieves that prey on tourists with large purchases

Large supermarket, everything is available here. If you have a backpack it must be left in a locker for 5 pesos. There is a store inside the mall "Stock mobile shop" where you can buy prepaid Mexican SIM cards. The actual "chip" is 29 pesos, plus whatever plan you pick to load it with. For a total of 10$ you get 3 gigs of data, unlimited US, Canada and local calls and sms for 28 days, see my pictures for some more info. Pleasant young ladies don't speak English but even my rudimentary Spanish was enough to communicate. Money exchange is just outside, no comission if you have passport.

Very large grocery store with other things available to purchase. More like a Super Target or Walmart. Only allowed 1 person per family due to COVID.

Warning for American tourists! As fitting rooms are closed and if you decide to get the swimming suits home to check how they fit don’t expect they take them back if they are not. Even before taking them home you ask the employee and she CONFIRMS that customer service accepts returns. DO NOT TRUST. Either they know nothing or just lying. Absolutely bad experience with the manager of the store . The solution of the situation from the manager was: make a gift to your friends. Funny? No. Ridiculous? Yes! I guess local Mexicans have sharp eyes when they are buying swimming suits. Now it is really funny.
