Chef Lingo "El Mejor" - 71983 Puerto Escondido

Buenas tardes, mi nombre es Sandra tamayo y junto con mi esposo Regulo lopez, somos los dueños del restaurante Chef lingo "El mejor". Con este mensaje queremos ofrecer una disculpa publica a nuestros clientes que fueron victimas de segun "el" , un "mesero chingonote", que tanto a ellos como a nosotros tenia el descaro de engañarnos. Tristemente nos dimos cuenta cuando ya habian ocurrido varios hechos, pero enseguida tomamos cartas en el asunto y desde hace varios meses este personaje ya no hace parte de nuestro personal. Agradecemos la confianza de todos nuestros clientes, seguro de que estos hechos no volveran a ocurrir y que pueden seguir disfrutando de todo el sazon, la calidad y el servicio de nuestro lugar!!!!

La comida está muy rica y la señora es súper amable. La verdad es que no tiene nada de malo comer aquí, pues los precios son muy decentes. Realmente lo que me sacó de onda es que el mesero se agrega a la cuenta final lo que considera que su propina "debe ser". En una cuenta de menos de $300 se agregó $70 de propina sin consultármelo. Me di cuenta antes de pagar, pero creo que hay personas que no se dan cuenta pues la propina agregada ya es parte del precio final. Esto es un poco abusivo, pero repito, es lo único que me molestó, pues la atención es súper buena.

Good food for friendly price and very friendly service

An unexpected find that exceeded all expectations. Food was great, service was even better, fish was SO FRESH! The huachinango (red snapper) was perfectly crisp on the outside, seasoned with garlic, and succulent inside. Fresh grilled veggies, great shrimp ceviche... I highly recommend if you find yourself on the north end of the beach. It’s tucked away in a little stand of palm and fig trees, and also has tables and chairs on the beach in front of the fishing boats. Just a great time all around. And some of the best food to be found anywhere in Puerto.

The people here know how to cook. Local and fresh fish, very delicious and nice vibes. Friendly and fast service.

Update: I will NOT go again! Staff is tipping themselves, and this is simply blameful. - A few days after my first visit, I came again for the good food (which is still good). However, in hindsight I realised that I was tipping more than twice as much as I intended, simply by the waiter already including the tip in their bill. Since I was with a friend, I did not pay proper attention and added a generous tip to their “final figure” only to realise afterwards that this didn’t match the prices for what we’d ordered. :( Hence, if you’d go, pay proper attention! Yet, since this did not happen to me in any other restaurant in Mexico, I am sure you will be better off in one of the many restaurants right next to Chef Lingo. I’m sure they will serve you great food as well, and may be more honest. Original: Good food! I got a seat at their beach club in front of the restaurant, and enjoyed some great Oaxacan food, something like a „Taco Pizza“ (Tlayuda) which was great.

Above and beyond our expectations. Chef Lingo and his wife serve up reasonably priced cocktails on the principal beach and the food is truly very flavourful and good. The mahi mahi and spiny lobster were out of the ocean in the morning and on our plates for supper. You can even bring your own freshly caught fish and have it professionally prepared.
