Chiringuito Tulum Hotel - 77780 Boca Paila

My wife and I just had our honeymoon at Chiringuito and had the most amazing time! The rooms are excellent, the staff is the best around, and the ocean was serine. Aside from the world class service and food, the hotel felt extremely private. You wouldn’t even know that the hotel was full. We will definitely be coming back here in the future!

My fiancé and I stayed at Chiringuito-Tulum and it was magical. The space, interiors, furnishings, and location were beautiful. The hotel is right on the beach, but their suites make you feel like you're also in the canopy of a jungle. They keep the beach pristine, and it is truly paradise. Photos on their website do not do the place justice. It is beyond anything we could have imagined. The best part of our stay was our interactions with the staff. Norberto, our waiter in the evenings, was outstanding. His knowledge of spirits and genuine kindness made our trip memorable. The front desk staff were super helpful with all of our questions and were always prompt when we needed something. The food in the restaurant was some of the best we had in Tulum. A fisherman's boat literally pulls up to the hotel's Beach Club with fresh lobsters and daily catch, and the chef comes out with his sheet pan for that evening's dishes. Their juices are fresh squeezed, their cocktails are thoughtful. Even the water used to irrigate the vegetarian throughout the property comes from a recycled source. Definitely get a massage in their Wellness Tent (request Liz!), and take advantage of all they have to offer. There is a lot to explore in Tulum, but we found ourselves staying at Chiringuito-Tulum as much as we could because it was so perfect.

Where do I start. We stayed at Be Tulum three years ago and although we enjoyed it, we had to book another kid friendly place this time with the addition of our new family member. We booked Chiringuito and had to travel February 2021. With some new government restrictions, we moved our reservation with no issues to Dec 2021. In fact, the rates were lower and we got some credit, too. From the beginning this hotel feels like a place that is made out of love and passion. The communication was very easy, they helped us set up private transportation from the airport and welcomed us with the most beautiful room. Rooms are cleaned every day on time. The ladies are like invisible fairies, they move so fast and efficiently. The place itself is a perfect private spot. It’s calm, immersive, but it does not lack good music and fun vibes. Not for a second did we feel like in a “families only” typical resort. The place is well kept and the working support staff that is doing renovations is very attentive and discrete. The decor seems hand picked. It feels like every detail was curated. My soul and my eye have been well fed during our 10 days stay. The food and the drinks were fantastic, but what it makes it a unique experience is their hardworking staff. Gregorio, Norberto, and Rafael were our main servers during the stay and they were just amazing. Careful, professional, funny and very personal. This is when you truly feel like you belong in a space. All the supervisors and managers are almost invisible - in a sense that they are always watching to make sure everything is fine, but are not intrusive. The people coming here are very nice, too. It’a a place to make friends from all around the world. You’ll know everyone’s face and names too by the end of your stay. Given it is such a small hotel, it’s impossible not to. Needless to say, we already booked our 2022 stay while we are still here. Thank you everyone for giving us Tulum’s best.

We made our reservation through mybooking.com. We used the option to pay for the Hotel on arrival. Well, they cancelled our reservation saying that we didn’t provide any payment and that if wanted to reserve we had to write our credit card information in a piece of paper and send it to them. We called to let them know we didn’t feel comfortable writing down the CC info and that we could give them the numbers by phone if they wanted to. They refused to accept the CC by phone, and we refused to send our info through whatsapp. We cancelled everything and stayed in Naay. Much better hotel and they (as all the rest) accepted our reservation by mybooking.com and the option to pay on arrival. I don’t recommend this hotel.

we had an absolutely lovely time here & seriously fell in love with the hotel. first time to tulum for a girls weekend. i felt it to be a combination of couples, families, & friends. it was a beautiful boutique hotel, perfect tulum vibe, in a great location along the beach. we almost never left the property bc it was so lovely! we decided to make it our destination for an annual girls trip. after reading some of the bad reviews i wanted to comment. i believe these reviews are from those that did not know what to expect from tulum. this area is not as developed as some other vacation spots. tulum is still mostly jungle. power outages are normal & occur regularly in the entire area (you can google this). all the properties are surrounded by lots of foliage, also meaning the potential for bugs. you enter the rooms through a sliding door from a terrace. bugs will be around, it’s nature. i dont love bugs but we didn’t have anything major. if this freaks you out, don’t stay on a beach hotel & maybe even rethink tulum. finally, much of tulum employs locals who have limited english. it’s always kind to learn a few local words or phrases when traveling. i found the service to be amazing, sometimes you need a little help from google translate. these complaints certainly aren’t reflective of the quality of the hotel. the price is competitive with the other hotels along the beach. do a bit of tulum research. i would give major pause to the comments claiming they have traveled all over the world for decades & were unhappy with their stay. we did agree that we wish eggs were included for breakfast but otherwise all the food was delicious. we also would LOVE to see robes & slippers in the room when we come back next year! thank you for a wonderful vacation.

AMAZING HOTEL!!!! It’s not cheap, but it’s worth it. We stayed in a jungle view room with private pool. Rooms are Tulum style perfection, spacious and nicely decorated. It’s at the perfect spot at the beach (not to crowded) and the staff is really helpful. Try the catch of the day for lunch, it’s simply the best.

Price/value is not ok, when you pay over 600€/$ per night you expect to get some value for your money. When we arrived we were told coffee and tea in the room is not included (?!), we’ve paid for breakfast and are asked to pay extra if we order some eggs (?!) and the overall service level is below standard. Towels are not renewed in the evening, etc. We travel the world and visit a lot of great hotels where everything is according to expectations but this is one of the most disappointing stays so far. They make you feel like home, the service is unmatched all of the staff is incredibly kind. As a female I felt safe and taken care of. Great location, a bit quieter than the rest of Tulum, I will definitely be returning. very clean and rooms and grounds are beautiful, they have many beautiful kitty cats on the property. :) highly recommend
