★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visitamos Chirundo por el hype creado antes de la inauguración, la carne si con buen sabor, suave, el brisket como puede uno encontrar en algún lugar normalón de Texas, el pork belly bien sazonado, el tocino ahumado no fue la gran cosa. Los acompañamientos fueron decepcionantes, para nosotros que hemos comido bbq en otros lugares creemos que pueden dar más. Un par de puntos muy en contra fueron primero el sol (creo que no pensaron en el clima de Oaxaca), y las moscas, increíble que un lugar de cocina gourmet tenga tantas moscas. Ojalá trabajen en eso.
We visited Chirundo because of the hype created before the inauguration, the meat did have a good flavor, soft, the brisket as one can find in some normal place in Texas, the well-seasoned pork belly, the smoked bacon was not great. The accompaniments were disappointing, for those of us who have eaten bbq in other places we think they can give more. A couple of very negative points were firstly the sun (I think they did not think about the climate of Oaxaca), and the flies, incredible that a gourmet kitchen place has so many flies. I hope they work on that.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excelente lugar para ubicado en el centro histórico de la Ciudad de Oaxaca, cuenta con dos niveles donde puedes comer de forma muy tranquila, si subes a la terraza podrás tener una vista espectacular del ex convento de Santo Domingo, aquí lo que quieras comer, pollo, res, puerco, mariscos o pizza tiene un sabor exquisito debido a su ahumador de carne que da un sabor único a los platillos y si acompañas tus alimentos con su cerveza artesanal de gran sabor y calidad (la elaboran con su receta secreta), la experiencia será incomparable, te recomiendo probar las almejas pismo los ostiones Rockefeller y la pizza de anchoas, mi recomendación personal sin duda es el brisket, es de lo mejor y la porción es generosa además lo puedes acompañar con una pieza de pollito ahumado, uffff!!
Excellent place located in the historic center of the City of Oaxaca, it has two levels where you can eat in a very quiet way, if you go up to the terrace you can have a spectacular view of the former convent of Santo Domingo, here whatever you want to eat, chicken , beef, pork, seafood or pizza has an exquisite flavor due to its meat smoker that gives a unique flavor to the dishes and if you accompany your food with its great-tasting and quality craft beer (they make it with their secret recipe), the experience will be incomparable, I recommend you try the pismo clams, the Rockefeller oysters and the anchovy pizza, my personal recommendation is undoubtedly the brisket, it is the best and the portion is generous, you can also accompany it with a piece of smoked chicken, uffff! !
