Great burgers overall, but a great disappointment: a bit pricey considering the long wait and the fact those where the absolute worst pickles I have ever tasted. Definitely my experience didn't went as I expected.

Hands down one of the best burgers I've ever had.

This burgers are DELICIOUS!!! The meat uts sooooo yummy... definitely one of the best burgers us the world. Their bacon marmalade is something from another world. If you come to Mexico, you better try chubbies burger.

A good sandwich, but not a great burger. Chubbies has been on my wishlist since I saw its videos on Instagram. It looked exactly like what I had been looking for in CDMX — a good smashed burger. (Note the -ed!) When I finally got around to ordering one, since I live close by and don't believe in letting burgers and fries steam in their delivery boxes, my burger was not that. It did not look anything like the photos here or the videos. It was flat and pale grey with a brown ridges where the meat kissed the grill. There was no flavorful crust to speak of and it was impossibly thin, probably under 25% of the total sandwich. I think they took the concept of "smash" just a little too far. Despite that, it was tasty, thanks mostly to the onion smash and cheese and a good if not great bun. I appreciated the pickles to add a tiny bit of crunch and some acidity, although as is often the case here, they were too soft, sweet not sour, and were lacking in vinegary bite. The fries were good, if right on the verge of being dessicated. The portion of fries for an extra $25 peos was generous. If I were to order from Chubbies again, I would add another patty, even though it's a steep 50 pesos. However, I'm probably going to move on to another burger joint.

I'm pretty amused by the marketing. Ordered for delivery but would prefer the freshness of picking up/eating there. Ordered from the Roma Sur location. I definitely recommend the special with the bacon jam, as well as the onion smash. The sweet pickles help balance out the heat of the peppers should you choose to use them. Great burger and for sure the best delivered one I've had.
