Just nice people and a nice place to do business. Silvia Julieta Castaneda Ibarra is the customer service representative for expats. Silvia speaks excellent English. I established a peso account there a few years ago and they readily accept my U.S. check for a deposit and I am emailed a confirmation of the deposit typically within an hour or so. (She’ll also tell me at her desk, or I can wait for the cash.) The bank also is a member of the San Miguel Discount Club. Card members get a slightly better exchange rate when trading foreign cash for pesos. The only drawback is that their one and only ATM at the branch right across the street often hasn’t worked. That means walking back to the main office, fill out a withdrawal slip and get in line for the one and only teller on the job at the time. But I think that’s improved. The ATM looks different. Perhaps it’s a newer one. Revised 30 Dec. The new ATM works perfectly each time. ??? Also, Elizabeth Ponce de Leon Torres has joined the customer service group. She also has been very helpful and speaks English as well.
