★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We always attend the Galerias Platino when we are in Merida.
we enjoy the service, the new very comfortable seats, the air conditioned
theater and the fuzzy and warm blankets.
IF I did one complaint it would be that there is NO telephone number to
call to see what is playing at the galerias theatre. it always says that movies
are subject to change...! VERY frustration if you have to make a special
1 hour trip into the city and the film that you want to see doesn't happen to be on!!
Having a telephone number would be a smart idea I would think...?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A multiplex theatre inside a very nice mall. The Platino part of the theatre is the best - they provide blankets agaionst the a/c, in seat food and beverage service, generally smaller groups of people and better behaved with cell phones etc. We go at least 2 to 3 times a month during the week when it is always 2 for 1

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Two-Foe-One Tuesdays! Just pay your 50 pesos and get your card. That is for Platina Admission! A comfy large recliner with a blanket (it is COLD in here!), chairs idea service! We get the Pizza Combo! A really Good pizza with different options, a popcorn and two 16oz Waters in the bottle (soda and booze available as well) we also get some M&M's. So a premium Film for two, Great Seats with a Blanket! Pizza and drinks and popcorn ALL for under 500 pesos! A great spot to beat the heat and even snooze if the movie isn't that great! Simply Cannot be beat! And the theater is SPOTLESS!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The first time me and my wife went there everything was great, great image, great sound and nice service, the second time we went the sound was so low and so bad that we could barely hear what was going on on the movie, us chewing our snacks was louder than the sound, which was a bum because it was a movie that really needed that punchy loud sound, it was black widow. We also saw a couple leaving halfway the movie and we suspect it was because the sound was really terrible, it felt like a movie they play on the background while we eat at a restaurant that no one pays attention.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went straight to the red side not noticing the platinum side which I would have liked to try. But I took my family to go see Encanto and no complaints from me on the cheaper side. It’s exactly what you expect. Good visual and audio and according to the ticket booth people it has less people since everyone wants to be on the platinum side. They have seats blocked off for covid so no one will be sitting near your group.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good to see that they open again in May 21, the platinum section is comfortable enough although a bit bland. About 420 pesos for 3 people, and popcorn a drinks another 400 pesos. They do not have a lot of choice at the shop. Just pop corn and coke basically. Staff friendly.
