I needed a Surgery as a valid reason to come to Mexico for a severe hemorrhoids (internal and external) that I suffered from for years and needed a surgery. I reached out to multiple doctors across Mexico and none took me serious about writing me a doctors letter I needed to travel to Mexico for immigration reasons because I was doing advance parole. When I got in contact with Dr Gustavo he didn’t hesitate to help me provide what immigration needed and even made adjustments to the doctors letter that I so desperately needed so I could stay longer. I know in the states specially Duke Hospital might have had newer equipment, but nothing was lacking here. I think it was a smart decision to get it done here since they have a lot of experience. I am healing extremely fast and it hasn’t been that painful compared to what other people seem to have suffered in the states from the research I did. It’s great the doctor checks up on you and makes accommodations if you need any I am so glad the surgery was a success and can start living a normal life. I would say it’s not much of a difference from what you pay in the states with good insurance, but I’d pick this any day because of the personalized care you receive and that you’re not surprised by sudden bills, nope they quote you and deliver on that. If I could change anything it would be not pulling the trigger on getting this surgery done sooner. I’ll be recommending my relatives here knowing they’ll be in great care! Oh yeah as far as the consultation it was so fast!! He was able to quickly confirm what the Duke Hospital staff took forever in doing which was confirming that the surgery was necessary. He also scheduled it to fit my work schedule. It was basically a 30 minute consultation get in answer health questions, check my condition and looking at the calendar to book the surgery. I can’t complain!
