City Car Rental Playa del Carmen - 77720 Playa del Carmen

Very disappointed by the service. We chose City Car Rental since they had great opinion on Google Maps. We took Wolksvagen Vento. First we reduced couple days before the number of days and we and they didnt change the price, we had to negociate to have the normal price. Then the car had a problem with seatbelt signal which was ringing for all the trip long, that was very annoying. When we drive back the car we had to wait for 30 minutes for the person to come. When we told them for the problem, the person just laughed at us and did not took any note of the problem.

I am extremely happy with my recent rental at City Car Rental in Playa del Carmen. The car was nice. The staff was extremely helpful and professional. I made a mistake in my reservation date. Luckily there was a car available when I showed up 2 days early. They kindly changed my reservation without a problem. I have had problems occasionally when renting from other companies in the past, who charged more than I was quoted. With City Car Rental, there were no surprises. I highly recommend City Car Rental in Playa!

The cars are in perfect condition, the price was fair. An excellent alternative to renting a car in Playa.

City car rental was communicative, reasonably priced, and actually charged what they priced with no attempts at upselling (a rarity in the Riviera Maya). The car was as advertised; clean and drove smoothly. The office is a bit far from the Cozumel ferry where we arrived, but the short taxi ride was certainly worth the convenience and price of City Car Rental, so we highly recommend them.

I was looking for a reliable and safe car rental company in Playa del Carmen and I found City Car Rental. To be honest, the car I rented was good and very clean.

Please be aware that City Car Rental contracts different companies to provide car rental services. I dealt with the Cancun location first and had a great experience. I later rented from Playa Del Carmen thinking I would get the same experience and it was a disaster from start to finish. The company is called Abdul Transporting Tours. The car wasn’t up to par, Manuela and Israel delivered the car with no masks on, in the middle of a pandemic and in a car that was supposed to be disinfected. I was also owed money that was to be given to me during the return of the car which was a hassle. City Car Rental’s customer service, Wendy and Juvy, confirmed one thing and Israel did another. I spoke with Pablo, the General Manager, who was also unprofessional. I had to later tell him not to call or text me because our business dealings were done. In addition, they charge a significant amount to use your credit card which isn't ideal for tourists. I wouldn't rent from the Playa Del Carmen site again.

Wonderful service from this car rental company in Playa del Carmen. I rented a Nissan March for 5 days, the service was good and complete. The girl who got in touch (JUVI) was very kind and attentive to my family and me. They gave me a safe and personal attention. I will not hesitate to rent my car again with City Car Rental.
