Ciudad del Carmen International Airport - 24190 Cd del Carmen

Es pequeño pero lindo. La gente de los restaurantes y bares son amables. It is a small airport but very cosy. People at the restaurant and bar are so kind and offers you a good service.

I was at the airport in ciudad del Carmen 2017/18/19 small and dirty, staff on the runway are unpleasant ?

The airport is a small, quaint place with 2 gates, and a small waiting room. There are a few small shops and restaurants in the main ticket area, before you go through security; there is only one small shop in the gate area. I usually don't have any issues with flights or the airport itself, but this last trip I had my checked-in luggage opened and many things stolen out of it. I had about $200 worth of things taken out of my luggage by the 'security' people - they have TSA keys to open locks. I would be very careful about putting any electronics (chargers for phones, watches, laptops, tablets, etc...) in your luggage as this is what they targeted. My coworker also had his luggage opened and things taken out of it. I would recommend to people who are using this airport to take only carry-on bags to avoid this type of thing. I have heard of it happening before but this is the first time that it has happened to me at this airport. I had been to the security area where they keep the luggage in the past, as they brought me back there to open my luggage so they could check it. It is basically a small room with a bunch of handlers with nothing to stop them from looking into people's bags (no cameras, no supervision, etc...). Travelers beware of this airport and the baggage\security handlers!

Very small and busy. A little chance to eat good, specially after control passport.

Small and almost comfortable domestic airport - for short waiting time it's more than ok.

Small local Mexican airport. Its ok. Remember to fill in the online questionaire before travel due to the covid pandemic. If online is difficult or not possible you can ask for a paper copy at the check inn desk and fill that one in.

The facilities are fine for a regional airport. Need more and better restaurants inside and outside
