Beware!! This place does not care about your dogs wellbeing. Dogs are left in unbearable heat when staff go home. Animals die and are neglected in filthy, unbearable conditions here. Do Not trust!!

This place is horrible!! Shutting down the A/C at night in PV! In the Summer!! Pets have died recently from overheating. Not to mention the lack of hygiene and disregard they have for the pets in their care from trusting paying customers

Join the local Facebook group for PV before bringing your pet to any groomer or boarding facility in the area. RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH! A dog recently died while at Wawao. If you see even one report on Google or Facebook about this type of neglect; run the other way!

This is a joke. It is not a clinic but a pet store with a tiny examination room at Plaza Caracol. Only one person tends the store, so she was examining my cat but kept checking out the shoppers. She told me my cat had kidney problems (it did not, I found out later), so she could sell me a very expensive bag of cat food. Then she injected my cat with an antibiotic, but missed the shot so my cat was dragging her hind leg for four days. NOT A CLINIC!!

The watched my dogs while I was at a resort. Staff was super friendly. They send short videos of your dogs every day.

This place needs to be shut down! Dogs die, dogs are covered in feces, dogs go missing. The owner takes no blame. If you love your pet, don’t bring them here.

Horrible place DO NOT USE for any of their services. They lost and killed dogs in their care and the grooming is not better. One star just because it is impossible to give them less. They should be shut down immediately by the authorities.

This place does not deserve a single star. Giving them one is being generous. I used Wawao for my dogs a few weeks ago (June28-July 4, 2019) and had an awful and painful experience. Less than 12 hours after leaving my dogs with the hotel, my beautiful Shih Tzu, Rishi, died of heat exhaustion. Before leaving my dogs at the hotel, I verified that the hotel had air conditioning and warned them that Rishi needed to be kept cool. This breed is among many who have flat face and short snouts and easily become overheated. Much to my dismay, the air was turned off for the night when employees left for the night (the dogs are left alone at night). When they arrived in the morning she was gasping, a sign that she is overheated and as a result, suffocating. Subsequently their organs shut down. The workers did not cool her down, nor did they get her medical attention fast enough to save her. They contacted me to ask me if she “gasped more than the other dogs” and I again told them she was over heated. Exactly 32 minutes later was dead. Rishi was an otherwise healthy dog, having just been checked by two vets, one in the USA and in Mexico. The horror didn’t stop there. When I picked up the other two (and my girl in a wooden box), the living dogs were covered in dried feces, as well as their beds, even though I had paid for baths and given WaWao a day’s notice of early pickup. The poop was matted into their hair to the point it had to be shaved the skin. Obviously, the kennels are not kept clean because they were wretched smelling when I picked them up. The hotel did not offer me any refund upon pickup, nor say they were sorry for the neglect. The whole matter was handled very cold and matter of fact. In fact, when I was checking out, one employee in the boutique opened a drawer near the cash register, took out a small wooden box with my dog’s remains in it, plunked it down on the counter and said, “Here’s this.” I was horrified and appalled at the callousness of their handling the situation as I was heartbroken. I have written and photographed documentation of the situation. I sent a letter to the business owner and she declined to meet with me, instead sending her store manager and another employee. This place is the WORST! I recommend you Do Not Use Ever.
