Nice and relax, good value for money, only 60 pesos. Good snorkeling, bar, restaurant, showers. Fairly quiet beach compared to high season at North Beach. Can rent lockers, life vest....

This place is a little run down but for $90 pesos you don't mind it so much. The snorkeling was pretty good. The best thing about this place was all the iguanas!

Cool place to chill for an afternoon of fun. Open air restaurant, pools palapas on the beach. Pier for boater's to make their way in. Come here every time we are in Mexico.

This is a great spot to come snorkeling and relax by the ocean. The water is clear and reletively calm with plenty of nearby sea life. I highly recommend buying some fish food the fish will literally eat it out of your hands. Bring a cooler of beer to chill after a swim under the sun umbrellas they provide - shady spots are limited so come early. Overall a great way to spend an afternoon.

Beach access - $5. Hard to find access to the coral around the Punta Sur, this is the closest and easiest I could find. Decent snorkeling from the little sandy shore, 400 meters in both directions we explored. Fish, coral, rays, turtles, good enough snorkeling location without paying for a guide.

A hidden gem of Isla Mujeres! Way cheaper than the beach club down the road, and I think less people as well. The beach is small but perfect for snorkelling, we saw some really beautiful fish! Also the service is super nice and the entrance is very very reasonable :)

In February 2022 the snorkeling experience at Playa Garrafon was amazing. The entrance fee 100 MXN per person and 50 MXN per borrowing a snorkeling mask was definitely worthy. Fish are adorable, friendly and huge there! The only minus we saw were quite old facilities and the prices at the bar - cheapest dish for 250 MXN made us leave earlier and not even trying to find out prices of cocktails and so on. Anyways, I highly recommend it, just take your own food and drink, if you care about your budget!

Went here to snorkel on a day trip to Isla Mujeres from Cancun. It’s about a 15 minute drive from the center of town where the ferry drops you off. Very nice laid back no frills beach experience. The entry is 100 Pesos or $6 US. There’s a changing room and a small restaurant on the property. There are beach chairs for about 20 people, most of which are in the shade. The beach is rocky, so my water shoes came in handy. The water is great for snorkeling. Very calm and plenty of fish around you. Many sergeant major fish swam by frequently during our time in the water. The only downside to the experience is that small yachts were docking relatively close to the swimming area and people were getting off on jet skis. It made you not want to swim out too far for fear of an accident with a watercraft. Before we left, we had lunch at the restaurant, which only accepts cash. Some fellow Americans who had been there several times recommended the chicken nachos. I will pass along that recommendation, as they were huge and delicious! Fresh ingredients and well seasoned chicken. It was more than enough for two people to share.
