Coco Bahia Botanas & Tapas - 40890 Zihuatanejo

This is an amazing restaurant. Beautiful view, friendly staff, reasonable prices, and food so good it makes you want to cry!!! We just had coconut mahi mahi and filet mignon and both were the best we have had anywhere. And it was half the price of a similar meal in the States. Calm, soothing atmosphere and beautiful view overlooking the bay. Wonderful, all around!!!

Not to be confused with Casa Bahia....Coco is another fine restaurant on the bay. Even though this is across the street, the raises seating patio affords you the stunning bay views. The food was excellent, and the service was great. If your looking to enjoy an evening out stop by here.

So showed up at 9:30 to closed doors. Most of the town was at a festival so a slow day and they where closing up. We knocked and they opened up for us. It was one of the most romantic dinners my wife and I have shared in fourteen years being together. The food is out of this world. Must try the coconut shrimp and coconut rice! The catch of the day was mahi-mahi. The best fish dish we have had since we’ve arrived at Zihuatanejo, and we have eaten a lot of seafood here. Do not miss out on this place. It is a gem. The chief came out to talk to us, the staff is wonderful, the bathrooms are clean and the view at night.... breathtaking!

March 2022 - We visited Coco Bahia for the 3rd time, and once again we thoroughly enjoyed everything! The couple we had with us this time is family who had never been there, and they loved it too. So we're 3 for 3 on fantastic experiences at Coco Bahia, and as always, we're looking forward to returning again next year. Coco Bahia is always a pleasure - from staff, the food & drinks, views, everything! __________________________ March 2021 - LOVE Coco Bahia! Have enjoyed a late dinner there on two occasions with two different couples, once in March 2020 and again in March 2021. All of us thoroughly enjoyed every delicious bite of every dish, the beers were cold and drinks were perfect, the service was excellent, and the views and ambiance were amazing. Bathrooms are clean and decorated with cute touches. I cannot think of a single negative or even neutral thing to say as everything was outstanding. Will definitely return and highly recommend to others.

Staff & Service is amazing. The best hidden gem in Zihua. We went 3 times in 14 days! Fantastic frozen mojitos!! Shrimp alfredo was delicious.

I loved this restaurant super close to our hotel and the service and food were delicious!!

This place is a hidden gem and one of our neat experiences traveling! If you're in Puerta Mia or close to Playa Principal or Madera just walk. Otherwise, if you're in La Ropa it's worth taking a cab. Jesus made us feel like true family. We spent most of our daily effectivo in the shops so I didn't know of we'd have enough for another round and Jesus told me "You can just pay another day. Eat and drink what you want. You are family." I was blown away. Jesus and Coco Bahía have us as regulars now! Amaaaazing blackened sashimi and margaritas by the way. But after being treated so well, I'd come back for cheese and crackers. ? Incredible view of the bay.

What an incredible gem to come across. So close to the stairs from the resorts. Great view (pro tip...eat at bar upstairs), delicious drinks, mushrooms were so savory, bread was lightly toasted but soft. Shrimp had a delicious char on them, ahi tuna was plentiful and perfectly cooked. Vegetables seemed fresh and a nice change from most local dishes. Note: they only accept cash!!
