★ ★ ★ ★ ★ El Colegio de Defensa Nacional es una institución de nivel superior de 41 años de vida institucional, perteneciente al Sistema Educativo Militar, donde se realizan estudios a nivel posgrado para la Seguridad y Defensa Nacionales, a través de un plan de estudios que se ofrece tanto a los integrantes de las Fuerzas Armadas, como a funcionarios del Gobierno Federal e investigadores independientes.
Se tiene la lealtad Institucional como principio y la seguridad nacional como objetivo, incorpora una nueva generación de militares y funcionarios con los conocimientos necesarios para la toma de decisiones en puestos de alta dirección estratégica o como asesores del mando, de esta forma, México se fortalece al contar con profesionales con la más elevada preparación en seguridad y defensa nacional.
El edificio que alguna vez albergó el Heroico Colegio Militar sigue manteniendo en magnífico estado sus instalaciones.
Estás instalaciones históricas se conservan en gran mayoría originales. El salón de actos fue decorado con murales de Daniel del Valle en 1910 con una ilustración positivista de “Orden y Progreso”.
Cabe destacar que el positivismo, corriente filosófica que destaca el conocimiento científico, había sido la escogida por Porfirio Díaz como base ideológica de su gobierno, quien fue el encargado de impulsar esta gran obra histórica.

It has Institutional loyalty as a principle and national security as an objective, it incorporates a new generation of soldiers and officials with the necessary knowledge for decision-making in positions of senior strategic management or as advisors to the command, in this way, Mexico is strengthened by having professionals with the highest preparation in security and national defense.
The building that once housed the Heroic Military College continues to maintain its facilities in magnificent condition.
These historical facilities are largely preserved original. The auditorium was decorated with murals by Daniel del Valle in 1910 with a positivist illustration of “Order and Progress”.
It should be noted that positivism, a philosophical current that highlights scientific knowledge, had been chosen by Porfirio Díaz as the ideological basis of his government, who was in charge of promoting this great historical work.
