Wow!!! One of my favorite restaurants! Had dinner on a Thursday night. The atmosphere and energy is so good! Staff is very attentive and the food and drinks are seriously some of the best I’ve ever had. The filet piquin has excellent flavors. It’s a must that was a recommendation from the waiter.

++Excellent: Service: Eduardo was our waiter, attentive, helpful and friendly. Made us feel at home Mood/decoration: great lighting, speakeasy mood, rich wood and brass finishes, interesting details Food: octopus, grilled cabbage, tapenades and salsas ( house amenity), hibiscus mezcal drink, definitely try these,these are options outside their specialty, is something I like to do at restaurants to see what else they have to offer +Great: Mood- music too loud, great mood , decor and even music selection, just too loud Food: hamachi sashimi ( arugula and edamame are almost too much over the delicate sashimi slices, also is served with “saladitas” crackers which seem below the overall quality) fish was super fresh and smooth Boneless rib eye ( border-lining tough, slightly salty maybe ) flavor was great Rigatoni arrabbiata ( sauce made with piquin chile was great and interesting in flavor but too thin for my preference, specially with short pastas like rigatoni) -complaints : Mood: the lights dimmed suddenly at 6-6:15pm, if you have a dimming system, program them to dim smoothly over the course of an hour so the transition into the night mood feels comfortable and guests don’t notice it ;) you’re selling an experience not just food Smoking inside the restaurant, this is 2022, would you rather keep one smoker client that’s going to spend 10k on his table and create bad reviews or 10 5k clients that have nothing to complain about This is why I leave 3 stars and not 5 as I’ve wished, hoping to get their attention. The place has a nice atmosphere, and is in the middle of Mazaryk, Mexico's chick avenue. We started with a great tuetano taco and a melted cheese with flor de calabaza that tasted great. However the main courses left us disappointed: an octopus that was over condimentated and a steak that was too dry.

I wanted to love it at Colmillo in CDMX as I've been to their location in Monterey before. However, the experience and food we're not at the same level at this location. Not only were they allowing smoking in the restaurant illegally, but the food was inconsistent. We ordered their specialty pork taco twice, once came out cold. To make matters worse, my girlfriend and I both got food positioning. We eat street food without issue (she lives in Mexico) so it wasn't a case of "not being use to local food" by any means. She described it as the worse she's felt in many many years. Really unfortunate, I'm in the city a lot and wanted to love it, but just couldn't. I would avoid.

Came here on a Saturday night, we got a table for 2 on arrival but of course I recommend doing a reservation to be on the safe side, ambience is great with good tunes rockin at a good volume that allows conversation, the drinks are pretty well mixed and strong, food was delicious, you gonna score points if you take a date, friends or family to this jewel , coming back for sure.

Would def go back. Wow! Surprisingly delicious. Everything was on point flavor wise (and I am super critical). Steak - I would get filet or porter house and not the ribeye, it was a bit too tough but still yummy. Fries - Truffle fries are ok, I think the garlic ones are the way to go. Tuna tostada insane! So was ribeye bone marrow taco!!! The roasted cabbage also rich but incredible. Honestly it was a perfect DIY tasting menu considering they have so much on the menu. We were very full and couldn't finish everything, but got very close. I was dying to try the wedding cake (the reason I went to check this place!) But couldn't fit anything else. We got the fried ferreros (hard pass. Not worth the calories or pesos) Also, i would recommend getting a normal drink and not house cocktails but that's because I like strong drinks and alcohol flavor. Hah.

So absolutely delicious, the bone marrow was a delight and the drinks were strong but not so strong you could enjoy the excellent flavor profile , the seating is limited so make sure you have reservations, well even with reservations they might still turn you away depending on how they decide to do things that day . But other than that great overall experience.
