My 3rd time in this place. Caution, extremely delicious flaming fajitas and margaritas! The owner Doña Regina takes good care of all the customers first hand. And if you happen to stop by over Valentine’s, don’t forget to tell her Happy Birthday ?.

If I could give 10 stars I would. Everything was superb. If fresh is what you looking for this is the place! We got welcomed by Regina(the owner) with a smile and joy, set down and ordered guacamole and one smoothie. DELICIOUS. Than we orders fajitas and something that I can't spell. And again Delicious. We also got lucky and two guys came and did live music performance. Cherry on the top. Definitely will come again!

Amazing food at reasonable prices by any standard. A small, cozy place, tucked close to the water and attractions. We had Adrian as our waiter and he was the height of the service arts. Regina is a charming, vibrant hostess and the owner of this rather popular and good tasting experience. She is in the photo below playing along with my request for her to be the spokesmodel.

Colores y sabores was the single greatest restaurant of our weeklong trip in Mexico and possibly of our lives. We attribute much of the exceptional experience to the owner extraordinaire Regina (and her adorable dog Lucho). The night started with her personally running out in her car to get avocados for our guacamole when the restaurant had run low. She rushed back with the avocados to make the superb guacamole but not before she greeted us with the kindness and warmth of family. She told us that she gets joy out of cooking each meal like they are for loved ones and it showed. Throughout the meal, each dish felt like it was made with love. Starting with the queso fundido and homemade warm tortillas we knew that we were in for the ride of a lifetime. The warmth and richness of the queso was perfectly balanced by the frozen, creamy drinks (the margaritas and pina coladas were as delicious as they were generous portions). When asked how they tasted so incredible Regina lit up and proudly shared her recipe that included fresh fruit and years of perfecting. She similarly shared the dedication that went into perfecting her homemade corn tortillas, a process to which she attributes a 20 kg weight gain. When the main course came we weren’t even hungry. We had filled our stomachs with delicious apps and drinks. However, seeing the beautiful presentation, and smelling the irresistable dishes we couldn’t help but finish every last bite. The shrimp fajitas were a sizzling plate of deliciousness, perfectly spiced and balanced with the most delicate, fresh corn tortillas. The Baja shrimp tacos were out of this world with a thin, crispy exterior and moist fresh interior (not to mention they were larger than any others on the island). The Centro de Mexico dish allowed us to try countless options each of which was more delicious than the next. In fact, as we were sharing this dish it became a race to the finish so that each of us could as many bites as possible. After unbuttoning our pants we even ordered another round of drinks and dessert. Expressing our true sadness that our trip was coming to an end and so we would not be able to return for another meal, Regina expressed that if we could make it for breakfast she would give us a ride to the airport herself. Lamenting that we won’t be able to find food anywhere near this same quality in the states we wished that we could fly her out but she wisely notes that the freshness of the ingredients on this island are part of the secret to her success. Not wishing to make her compromise quality, we instead are already planning our return trip to cozumel to return to this fine establishment.

Incredible food, great service, affordable prices. The shrimp empanadas and tortilla soup were especially delicious. Don’t hesitate to grab a bite here if you’re in Cozumel!

Regina (owner) is one of the kindest and nicest people we have met on Cozumel. The food is 100% worth the price as the portions are big and cooked to perfection. She added shots to our piña colada’s because we didn’t think they were they strong, but we are also alcoholics sooooo. Regardless, give this place a try because you won’t regret it. Also her dog Lucho will wait for food and even tho he gets fed all day give him a piece :)

Colores y Sabores was fantastic. As many reviews have pointed out, they’re vegan friendly. While they don’t label anything on the menu as vegan, they do label many things as vegetarian. The waitress and the owner were very familiar with modifying their meals to be vegan friendly and the result was not disappointing. We had vegan fajitas and enchiladas and both were amazing. Aside from the food, the atmosphere at the restaurant was serene. The hum of the city, a local musical guest, the warm breeze, and their colorful and vibrant store front made the experience that much better. Kudos to Colores y Sabores; they’ve really done a fantastic job with their slice of heaven.

We were here on New Year's Eve and we are so happy we chose this place to spend our NYE dinner! Regina made sure to come by and chat us up. Her English is great, our Spanish is not so great. The food is fire bomb! So fresh. Our party ordered margaritas, bottle of wine, guacamole, veggie fajitas, chicken burritos. Everything was fresh, especially the corn tortillas! If you can smell this review, you know what I'm talking about. Don't miss this place!
