★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel is wonderful. We loved everything except one thing. The traffic noise all night. Perhaps it's because we had a deluxe room with a balcony which faces the street but the traffic ran all night and kept us waking up every so often. We recommend ear plugs. Everything else was fantastic. The bed and pillows are memory foam and were extremely comfortable. The bathroom and decor was modern and clean. They have a Netflix account so you don't need to log in to use it. They are dog friendly which was a big selling point for us. We also enjoyed the roof top which has great views all day and night. The restaurant and bar prices reasonable. The doorman, Alejandro was very warm and accommodating. It was a very pleasant stay but wish they provided ear plugs or recommended we bring them. Perhaps the other rooms are quieter since they don't face the street?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a wonderful stay here. Only wishing we had stayed more days with Comala.
The space is warm and inviting. The water pressure was the best we had in Oaxaca. The staff all speak English if you need help. They can order a taxi to the airport without having to haggle with a driver.
The included breakfast was presented beautifully and fresh. A true bargain.
Will definitely return.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We are from Canada and were visiting Oaxaca last month for only one day. We stayed at this B&B one night only. At first it looked clean and nice however we woke up the night with big ants crawling everywhere, in our arms, bed, mattress, floor and walls. We were unable to go back to sleep. When we told the manager our nightmare and lack of sleep he appeared to be concerned and stated that he would be in touch with the owner of the establishment to provide a reimbursement to us which did not happen.
Also, we had to wake up early next morning for a tour only to find out that there was no water either on faucets or shower. It came back after 7am but it took a while to have hot water. Not impressed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is amazing! Alex and Andres and the entire staff are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable and make this a unique and wonderful stay in the city. The location is superb and the rooftop is a beautiful place to rest/read/ eat the wonderful food Comala serves. I cannot speak highly enough of Comala and the amazing people that made this such a wonderful experience in Oaxaca!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a quick change of plans and booked a last-minute stay here for 1 night. Room on the lower price point was basic but had everything needed, the terrace is a nice bonus. Much less street noise than at other hotels in the city. Staff and owner are extremely friendly and are fun to talk to - I would consider staying here again just to chat with them some more.
