Possuem alguns hábitos de séculos atrás, pois preferem carroças a veículos, assim como fazem uso de um vestuário peculiar. Lidam muito bem com a terra, assim como são muito amigáveis, especialmente com os mexicanos. Foi uma incrível oportunidade conhecer essa comunidade, cerca de 10km do centro de Bacalar, onde se estabeleceram melhor que na América Central. Há uma pequena venda perto do grande silo, onde há um corrente tráfego de carroças. Lá, você pode comprar alguns produtos agrícolas, assim como uns biscoitos que eles mesmo produzem.
