Budget stay, no hookups open Sand parking adjacent to nice Beach. Very clean, good restrooms, showers and laundry facility. Minimal fees, only $15 USD per night regardless of vehicle. On request services available, like potable water, sewage dumping and painting and repairs.

Gate guard guy refused me entrance 2 view facilities unless I shelled out the $15 nightly fee. I backed up, parked outside the gate & walked back in right past him saying 'Mira!' which translates to 'Look & see' . I meant business & he knew it so he stepped aside. Glad I looked the place over because it was a disorganized, scrambled hodge podge of vehicles & RV's parked any whichway on what appeared to be a first come first serve, each man for himself sand Bowl. Could not even see the beach! No way was this gal gonna car camp in that mess. Found Playa de Oro a little later which filled the bill.

This place is not to party so don’t go there if you are expecting to do that, this place is to relax! Absolutely loved it here! Quiet time is after 9pm, bathrooms are pretty clean and there is hot water with great water pressure! We tent camped the ground is pretty solid so don’t expect to stakes in. Instead use sand bags. Security is at the front and they make their rounds at night. I will definitely be returning again!

Tent Camping Review - Camped 12/27/20-1/2/21: Pros: 1. Location, location, location. To wake up and go to be with that beautiful ocean view is awesome. Also close to town so a quick drive or walk and you can pick up groceries, hit the ATM, etc. We got a beach front spot as the place was not busy. Not sure how the experience would have been if we couldn't get a beachfront spot. 2. Price! Check in is easy - they let you drive around and see if you like a spot, review the rules with you and pay. $15 per night. 3. Clean bathrooms & showers - nice hot water! 4. Amazing Sunsets! 5. Long walks on the beach Cons: 1. Safety - being in a tent we had much of our belongings exposed. A couple let us know the day before we checked in there was a theft in the park so we were diligent and locked everything up when we went for a walk or left the RV park. 2. Walk to the bathrooms - being in a tent, you don't have an RV option to use the restroom so walking back and forth 6-8 times a day got a bit old. 3. Showers aren't very functional - they don't have shelves or hooks so anything in the shower is on the floor. There are no toilets in the showers so if you have to go to the bathroom you have to go next door and bring all your items (or leave them and risk them being stolen). 4. Wi-Fi is only available right near the office so if you want to be off the grid - great place but if you want to stay connected you have to lurk around the office to get their wi-fi. 5. The wind can be annoying - we couldn't only have our EZ fully up 1 of the 6 days we were there. The winds were non stop pretty much when we were there which made it colder than it was. I wouldn't let any of the Cons deter you from visiting this lovely place. The weather was a bit chilly for us when we visited especially having to tent camp but the fire at night was great (we brought our own fire pit from home). We also brought a space heater for the mornings until the sun came up to warm us. It's a great place to unwind, get off the grid and just enjoy the fabulous Sea of Cortez. We will definitely be back but probably in March when the weather is a little warmer.

This was a really good way station on my trip south. Stayed for two nights, dry camping. The restrooms were clean (did not use the shower) and there is abundant TelCel coverage. It was dog friendly and other campers I met were friendly. It’s really not much more than a huge dirt parking lot above the beach but hey, that works. I was impressed by how the cleanliness of the beach is maintained locally with work crews and abundant trash receptacles. I paid 300$ MXN per night, about $15 USD.
