★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good coffee but waffles are not fresh, but out of the package and microwaved. Also, there were tables inside but no AC and outside in the middle of a line for people to get their pension, not to mention the courtyard was kind of dirty with mosquitoes and pigeons for companions. Much better options available in Mérida.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent coffee. Outdoor seating is nice, communal area with a good breeze. But this place is all about the coffee, which is top notch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Coffee and hot chocolate were fine. Alleyway is gloomy. Waffles were pale, flacid, warmed over pieces of sponge rubber.
Avoid.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Coffee so smooth you should try it. Place is a little bit loudy because of transit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 4/10 - may revisit, but only out of necessity.
There are several things about this place I like, and unfortunately an important one I did not like.
Like:
- Unexpected refill - person with a carafe walking around
- Breezy outdoor seating - even great during the day @ noon
- Medium internet speeds - see pic of 32 up/16 down speeds
- Buzzy atmosphere - if you feel like you'd like to be around a chatty group of locals this is a nice place to visit. At noon on a Monday I was the only person who looked like a visitor.
- Hot coffee. Often the coffee I receive in Mexico is tepid.
Dislike:
- Indifferent staff who played with their phone for the first minute I waited at the ordering counter. I even asked to confirm I was at the correct counter for ordering.
- Change for my cash payment. I am unsure what influenced the counter person to provide me with 48 peso in change-change. I saw in the cash drawer bills, but I instead walked away with a pocket of heavy change. It's on me that I didn't push back and request bills. However, I've never in my life done so and It was an uncomfortable "should I?" moment.
- Messy back of the store. You could see a pile of used dishes behind the counter.
Overall: If you are looking for a lively coffeeshop experience this may be a good fit. Be prepared for a questionable service atmosphere. In regards to working from the location, it's not so bad if you wear headphones. The internet can be used for non-video call activities.
I hope this helps. If you are looking for Merida food options I have left several Merida food reviews you can see on my profile.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went here for a quick afternoon break, enjoying their waffle churros and a blueberry “Italian soda”. The Italian soda was slightly on the sweet side and arguably a bit artificial, but I liked the addition of some fresh forest fruit. The waffle churros weren’t particularly memorable, but on the plus side: priced accordingly.
