Beautiful, peaceful and well maintenanced

Recently my baby and I visited a friend and her small son at El Secreto and we spent an hour swimming in the pool. After swimming, we found out the property management had added a bunch of chemicals to the pool to clean it without posting notices or notifying residents that the pool was not safe swim in. Yes, a small baby and child, swimming in a toxic pool for a prolonged period of time, ingesting chemicals in their mouths, and no one told us to get out! Only after we were finished in the pool did we learn of this and maintenance basically said we shouldn't have swam in the pool (they pointed to the meter-long caution tape draped over one of the ladders and said that meant the entire pool -- which is quite large -- was off limits). My skin burned that night and was dry for many days afterwards, who knows how it affected my baby. I sent a message to their Facebook page with no response, I called this number with no answer, very disappointing. I'd like to know what chemicals they put in the pool so I can research the side effects from being exposed to them, as well as encourage them to warn residents of dangers like this.

I have a friend who lives in one quiet gated apartment. Kids and middle age parents make up the bulk of this community. Folks are friendly! As a visitor you leave your ID with the gate guard and pick it up when you leave.
