★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Uns wurde während der Reise ein Rucksack mit Reisepass gestohlen. Wir haben uns per Mail an das Konsulat gewendet und sehr schnell und freundlich Antwort bekommen. Der Ersatzreisepass konnte innerhalb von 30 Minuten ausgestellt werden und hat um die 20 Euro gekostet. Bei uns wurde der Ausweis (Kopie vom Reisepass hilft auch), Passfotos sowie die schriftliche Anzeige des Diebstahls der Polizei benötigt. Das Konsulat befindet sich im gleichen Gebäude wie das Ibis Hotel und ist im 4. oder 5. Stockwerk.
We were stolen a backpack with passport during the trip. We contacted the consulate by mail and got a quick and friendly answer. The replacement passport could be issued within 30 minutes and cost around 20 euros. With us the identity card (copy of the passport also helps), passport photos as well as the written indication of the theft of the police needed. The consulate is located in the same building as the Ibis Hotel and is on the 4th or 5th floor.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ich hatte meinen Reisepass verloren und in dem Konsulat würde mir perfekt geholfen. Nach telefonischer Anmeldung und Terminvergabe, wurde mir das Ersatzdokument ausgestellt. Wie wurde vorher schon am Telefon gesagt, dass ich 500 mexikanische Pesos in bar mitbringen muss. Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiterin. Vielen Dank ?
I had lost my passport and the consulate would help me perfectly. After registering by phone and making an appointment, the replacement document was issued to me. As was said earlier on the phone that I have to bring 500 Mexican pesos in cash. Very friendly employee. Thank you ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jemand ist in unserem Hotelzimmer in Playa del Carmen eingebrochen und hat unsere Reisepässe, Geld, Computer, und andere wertvolle Sachen gestohlen. Es war ein richtiger Hotel, kein Hostel.
Im Konsulat war immer jemand erreichbar, und ich konnte am nächsten Tag meinen Ersatzreisepass mit der Polizeianzeige abholen.
Alle waren sehr freundlich und effizient! Herzlichen Dank!
Someone broke into our hotel room in Playa del Carmen and stole our passports, money, computers, and other valuables. It was a real hotel, not a hostel.
There was always someone available at the consulate and I was able to pick up my replacement passport with the police report the next day.
