About Cooking Classes with Chef Gaby Green

A native of Mexico City, I acquired my culinary knowledge through family; first my grandmother, then my mother and now myself, strengthening my culinary vocation.  Mexican cuisine constantly goes through interventions and reinterpretations. My passion stems from a celebration of inherited traditions. I prepare a few pre-Hispanic recipes that are still popular like Huazontle en chile pasilla (black pepper), Pork with Achiote (Mayan condiment), nopales; recipes from the time of the Mexican Independence like Chiles en Nogada from Puebla, along with fish and seafood recipes with Veracruz style.

I am very ashamed to share that this lady, who calls herself a great Chef, goes to restaurants to eat for free. He came to my restaurant, I treat my staff badly, I return a glass of wine "because he didn't like it" which he had already had. She asked to eat, the term she asked for was prepared for her, as a chef she should know how long the term she asked for takes. And in the end he took advantage of the fact that my waitress went for her dish to leave without paying. Be careful with her, and I did not experience the same. How sad that there are still people without education.

Estan equivocados no fui yo.
I'm Chef Gaby Green and I don't know who Dalia Cruz or Luis Gomez are. I would not do what they demand of me, I would not leave without paying from anywhere or treat the employees badly, because I belong to the gastronomy and I just would not do it for education. They are wrong, it wasn't me. Apparently Luis is referring to Dalia's comment, but please ignore the two terrible comments because they are not true. Please read the TripAdvisor comments for real information, I only have excellent comments about the service I offer.

Chef Gaby is simply the best! She walked us through the local market explaining what different ingredients are used for. We picked what wanted to cook and got back to her kitchen. There is no preset menu. You can let her know your food preferences and Gaby will find a way to make authentic Mexican food to suit your diet. We mentioned that we prefer seafood and healthier choices. We cooked together and talked about origins of food, history of the town, relationships between Mexico and the US and many other topics. So, in addition to cooking class you will get a great conversation and a history lesson. You will not notice how quickly time goes by. And did I mention the food? Wow! Everything was out of this world. We made anchos rellenos, camarones ajillo, fresh tacos, several salas, green mole, a vegetable soop and pico de gallo with cactus leaves (nopales). And then we sat down to eat this fresh and delicious meal. Unforgettable experience! Highly recommended. Thank you, Chef Gaby!
