Coral Princess Hotel & Dive Resort - 77600 San Miguel de Cozumel

Horrible - one of worst in 65+countries I've travelled - front desk gentleman (marciello?) Rude / unpleasant. (rest of staff pleasant enough). Pool is beyond freezing (in 2 weeks no one went beyond ankles). Much warmer in the sea. They give one starter packet of coffee and then ask you to pay if you want more. No food past 4. Hand sanitizer so watered down can't smell any alcohol. After 2 weeks, same front security still asking my room number. they have an archaic sanitizer fog machine they use sometimes, sometimes not, hotel is far from town (good dive companies like aldora is won't pick up cuz hotel has own dive company). So add at least another 10usd/day for taxis if you don't walk 30min in high heat. Safety deposit box old and awkward to use.....I came because hotel offering half off - but still, got less than I paid for - so many other choices to stay, so consider other hotels...even at 80off wouldn't come back

Expensive for the services offered. No fridge therefore unable to store shop bought food. Limited restaurant menus. Breakfast food overpriced for the average quality. Restaurant closes at 4pm and hotel is a long way from restaurants. As well as the cost per night there is a large additional resort fee. Crazy. The whole place has the feel of being out of season and half shut down

Snorkeling and diving here was really good. Clear water, lots of fish, urchins, stingray, coral, and jellyfish. Having the scuba shop attached to the resort made getting in the water fast and easy. The staff was great. Cleaning crew was always keeping the place tidy. My biggest complaint is that the restaurant closed at 3PM. I had to walk or take a taxi to get food in the evenings, and my room did not have a fridge so I couldn't stash any leftovers for later. I understand they do this because of covid, but other places have managed to stay open later. I would stay here again.

An unfortunate gem that is quickly wasting away! We've stayed at coral princess numerous times and always visit when we port on cruise ships. However, after 2020 it's under new management and not headed in a favorable direction. Since our 2021 stay wasnt great, we choose to stay else where this time. We were asked to leave immediately after diving with the on site dive shop. Since we were not staying at the hotel this time, they didn't want us to use the facilities. There were zero people in the pool, on the deck or restaurant. Completely desolate. How will they continue to operate and improve while turning away paying customers? I'm sad to say we likely won't ever stay there again. Nor will we recommend to others.

Right out front is insanely gorgeous water withfantastic snorkeling, the room was clean and nice and cool, staff was friendly and they helped me print out something I needed. The dive shop below was awesome, they helped us out so much. Pool is warm, and they let us stay in past closing, as long as we were quiet. Just 5 min from town. Great place, I would love to visit again.

- The front desk had terrible service. - A/C remote was missing from our room so there was no A/C. - The entire building has a bad smell to it. - We booked online and then had to re-book once there for a higher price. - The restaurant at the hotel was always closed too early to actually be convenient (4:00 pm)

Wonderful impromptu stay. We popped in and there was an open room. Beautiful ocean view. Excellent waterfront place for snorkeling. Filling breakfast on the water. The Infiniti pool is warm and relaxing. Just a short drive from town.

Pros: Great warm pool and was clean always. The sand area is nice and clean great beach pillows and chairs to relax on. It is a cliff to jump off and swim in the ocean with a bunch of fishes around which is nice and was fun! The room was nice I stayed in the king suite with two balconys, a kitchen, and lounge area. The workers were very nice to us and helpful is needed. cons: I first arrived and they sent me to a basic room and thank goodness i checked my booking and I had booked a suite, so they placed me in the wrong room. My suite has some crumbs on the floor in the main king room and i realized there was a bunch of small ants and looked further and there was a trail of ants circling the trim around half of the room. My mom called front desk and nothing was done. The shower was clogged or something because as I showered the tub would not drain until I was done, so my feet were standing in my shower water. The food is not great. 1. They need new updates and making sure the rooms are cleaned properly. 2. They need to check their plumbing Overall, I give 3 stars for the bug issues and needs updates and the shower issue and the food was 0/5. It is NOT beach front, it is small cliff with stairs, which was beautiful, but can not just walk and lay on a sandy beach. it is about 5-7 minutes driving from the strip so a taxi is needed each time.
