¿Qué es?
La columna cervical es una zona muy móvil lo cual le hace más propensa a lesionarse.
El estrés, las malas posturas, caídas, choques automovilísticos, pueden llegar a generar espasmos musculares (inflamación muscular) ya que el músculo absorbe gran parte del impacto, tensión o movimientos bruscos, la falta de un tratamiento oportuno y correcto al músculo, genera adaptaciones posturales que en un tiempo determinado llegan a generar síntomas, como dolor en zona cervical ( cuello), mareos, entumecimientos en manos y brazos, limitación y dolor al movimiento de hombros, dolores de cabeza también conocida como “cefalea por tensión”.
La inflamación o espasmo muscular puede llegar a causar compresiones o irritación en nervios que pasan por la zona del cuello, dando como resultado DOLOR.

La terapia física y rehabilitación física proponen mejorar el rango de movilidad, disminuir el dolor, a través de técnicas Osteopáticas que buscan dar movilidad a cada vertebra que puede estar en disfunción, masaje para disminuir tensión muscular o técnicas de streching. El uso de agentes físicos como ultrasonido, electroterapia, buscan desensibilizar a tejidos irritados por la compresión como pueden ser nervios, arterias o venas.
