Costa Azul - 97320 Progreso

Muy deshonestos, publican un precio en menú y cuando llega tu cuenta te cobran todo más caro si no te ves mexicano! También te cobran por servicio algo que supuestamente no está permitido por ley. Very dishonest, menu has one price but when you get the bill they have raised all the prices if you don't look Mexican! They add service charges to the bill which supposedly isn't allowed by law.

Pésimo lugar. Pésimo servicio. Los platillos mal servidos. El pescado que dicen vender por kilo no pesa ni 600gr. Todo lo cobran a parte, hasta la salsa. Las tortillas frías, los meseros te ignoran. Y efectivamente, abusan porque te cobran de más. Abusan del turismo. No vayan, no gasten su dinero

Un ceviche de 250 pesos que no tenía más de 3 pedazos de pescado, horrible, si pudiera le daría 0 estrellas

Horrible, no se los recomiendo. Toda la comida insípida y con muy mal sazón. Del servicio ni hablar, pésimo. Los precios que manejan son excesivos para la calidad de comida que sirven y al querer reportarlo no te dan ninguna solución.

We were charged almost twice as much as we should have been.. Guacamole was a joke...service was horrible!!! Very disappointing! One star is too high!!

This place deserves at least a zero star review. If there was an option for lower, I would give it. They are dishonest, they put one price on the menu, and a second, higher price on the menu. There are many other restaurants to choose from in Progreso, buyer beware and choose ANOTHER!

What can I say about a restaurant where the prices on the bill are completely different than the prices on the menu? Looking at the other reviews here, this seems to be a pattern. They also add on a service fee, which they aren't supposed to do here. Sorry, folks, but while I'm not a local, I'm not quite a tourist either.

This place is very dishonest! If you are a tourist and or don't appear to be Mexican, prepare to be taken advantage of. I don't know if it's because there was a cruise ship in town, and because I'm not Mexican they assumed that I was one of the cruise ship tourists. But I got my check back, and EVERY single item was marked up from the menu prices. Because this very thing has happened to my family and I since we moved to Mexico, we always write down the menu prices so we can compare it with the prices on the check. So here is my advice to Costa Azul, if you are going to use this tactic on unsuspecting victims, why not just create a separate menu for "non locals" with he prices already marked up? That way you can at least appear to be an honest establishment. That being said, the food and portions are great. I want to give a better review, but that just wouldn't be honest. I'm sad to say I won't be coming back to Costa Azul next time I go to the beach.
