Country Club de Chapala - 45900 San Nicolás de Ibarra

It's probably the nicest golf course in the Lakeside area. If it were 18 holes, there would no doubt about it.

Chapala Golf Club I have thought about how I was treated for almost two weeks. I’ve never been treated so horrendous at any Golf Club In the last forty years. June 11th my friend and I decided to play on your golf course. I’ve never played there and my friend had played but never driven your course. We found out immediately the course was not well marked and struggled to do the right thing. On hole number one. We saw many wheel tracks so we drove on the fairway. Hole two a young Mexican man talked rapidly of which we could not understand whaat he was trying coomnicate. We figured out we were not to drive on the fairway. So we didn’t. Hole number three the same young Mexican again yelled at us and we couldn’t figure out why We didnt go back on th fairway. Then he repeated the same would that I recognized. “Presidente”. On the next hole the professional golfer and teacher came with the young man. He was very polite but said we could not play at the course becuse the president was kicking us off the course because on hole one were were too close to the green. We were more than fifty feet from the greens and there is not a golf course in the world that would consider that a cart was too close. The President of your club decided that he didn’t want us to be ahead of him. We are 78 and. 81. He didn’t want us old ladies to hold him up. We would of been more than happy to let through. But at each hole he was not in sight. He sent a young man that he knew didn’t speak English. Instead of taking the responsibility a President would do that would come to talk to use he deliberately decided to treat us horribly. He not only kicked us off the course and out of the club but my friend was told she could never play there again. She and her husband just purchased 10 Rounds. How many other players were banded for life because someone thought they drove to close to the green? This appears to be a newly elected President was abusing not only two older harmless women but his newly disovered power.

Met some people on the terrace. Didn't otder a meal or walk around the greens so I can't comment. Service was attentive but somewhat slop as it was afternoon and well populated by golfers who had finished their rounds and were watching golf on a large screen. Everyone seemed to be enjoying the day, prices seemed reasonable.

Fun course. 9 holes with open fairways, elevation changes and tricky breaks on the greens.

Competitive course with driving range and golf pero to help your game. Nice outdoor patio restaurant. Tasty food, good service aid drinks and a pretty view of the golf course. Recommend.
