I booked us a private balloon ride. Service was great, and they had a GoPro set up to record the whole experience for us. This was our second hot air balloon ride experience, and I was very impressed. Highly recommended.

This was an amazing experience. Lino was our guide and he was very informative and fun. I will definitely take another excursion with this company.

Had an amazing horseback riding tour through the canyon. Also, was able to experience galloping on the horse. I only recommend this activity, if you're healthy, not afraid of heights and don't get exhausted easily. Please follow all instructions from the tour guide. We have a very pleasant ride without any accidents. Thank you!

Where can you do a bar crawl on horseback? Imagine the sun setting, strolling through the cobble stone streets of San Miguel on horseback, dismounting in front of an old cantina…and bellying up to bar for a cold beer and a shot of Centanario Tequila.. Coyote Canyon Adventures is magical! Staff (The cowboys/girls) are knowledgeable and professional. This company is a locally owned family business, offering many other excursions, afternoon rides at an authentic working ranch, pyramid tours..ATV rides, wine tasting tours..Don’t miss out!

Myself, my husband, and our 11 year old son went on the 1/2 day horseback ride with optional rappelling activity and had an absolute blast from start to finish! We joined 7 others and I think we could have had even more people and it would have been just as fun and personalized. The guides were pleasant, helpful, and very attentive. The horses were perfect and made us feel safe the entire time - even during the several fast gallops. I have ridden horses a few times in my life on mostly flat ground. This was so much more fun and intense than anything I've ever even seen a horse do in person. We were climbing and descending on slopes that would have qualified as scrambling if we were hiking. The views were beautiful at the bottom and the top of the canyon. The rappelling was unlike anything I've ever done. It was a fun way to feel adventurous without any real risk. The lunch was delicious and very vegetarian friendly. WHAT TO EXPECT: your horse will have a new 1 L bottle of water already tied to it. You will have access to pockets on the saddles, which we used for our sun screen. Long pants are necessary, I would have worn boots if I had them but we were fine in our sneakers, my husband and son wore long-sleeves to combat the sun but I made do with 2 applications of sun block since I did not have anything with sleeves, and I think our hats were the most important accessory of the day. I would suggest a hat that tightens or secures around your neck if you choose to gallop. Our guides were able to find a lost hat and a lost pair of sunglasses while on the ride, but it's best to wear secure items only. At the stables they sell hats at a very reasonable price (my son loves his). You can leave anything you bring in the transport car while on the ride and while at lunch. For the rappelling - everything was explained thoroughly and we felt safe the entire time. Our guide was very patient with my son when he needed an extra minute and extra guidance on how to start the initial decent over the edge. I usually do not do well with heights, but I chose to never look all the way down cliff until I was completely over the edge and somehow that helped me actually take the plunge. Once you rappel you will wait at the bottom of that cliff for the rest of your party and your horses to come down. Then you continue the rest of the descent on horseback. Once back at the stables you will have the opportunity to tip the cowboy guides (you can give one amount and they will split amongst themselves). You will then continue via car to the lunch spot. There you will have option to purchase coke or beer (water is free) and the food is served as a mix of family style and served plates. You may ask for more food. I suggest making sure that you bring some smaller bills to also tip for the meal. Then your main guide will drive you back to the office and you will have the opportunity to tip them at any point (we never felt any pressure tip anyone, these are just my suggestions to show appreciation for a truly wonderful experience). You can take your own photos during the day, but you can also organize payment with your main guide to receive the photos that they take throughout the day. I would highly recommend this experience for anyone at any age. We've been traveling in Mexico for a year and have done many activities - but this experience was our favorite.

Half-day horseback riding was excellent all around. The horses are beautiful and seemed well cared for, all the caballeros are friendly and helpful and the included ranch-grown & prepared lunch was a delicious conclusion to our morning tour. Highly recommended as a way to see a beautiful canyon on horseback and step back from city touring for a day.

The horse riding was one of the best days of my LIFE! I'm so thankful to have had this experience. If you are doubting whether to book it or not just do it, you will not regret it!

My husband and I had an amazing experience with our hot air balloon ride! First, Daniel, who helped us book the tour was so accommodating and communicative. We were picked up on time and taken to the launch site, and our adventure began promptly. We floated over San Miguel de Allende, watched the sunrise and enjoyed the stunning views! The ride lasted about 50 minutes. We had a super smooth landing, where we were met by staff who drove us to our breakfast spot. We enjoyed a great meal, great company and then were dropped off at our home. It was an unforgettable experience and I will tour again with Coyote Canyon. They're professional, courteous and organized!
