The food and beach were amazing...

Buffet starters and a la carte options for mains and soup. Buffet again for dessert but the choice of food is nicer than the main buffet restaurant. I had the chicken for my main and didn't like it but my starter filled me up anyway. It was also too hot in the restaurant to enjoy the food.

Overall I food the food a little bland and lacking in variety. The service was good, we left quickly and without desert when the Mexican table music started and our 18 month old had just gone to sleep... If it's been helpful hit like please!

NICE! Great menu and the salad bar was fantastic. Polite, friendly and attentive service. In fact it would have had 5 stars if it was cooler. Like so many of the restaurants within the complex there are ceiling fans, but this restaurant either does not have air conditioning or it was switched off. By the time we had finished our starters, I was uncomfortable, by the time our mains were half way through both my wife and I were 'glowing', dessert was rushed so we could get outside...... Shame, because it was a good meal that could be great.... The steak was the most flavourful of the vacation

The good: The food my partner and I had was excellent; her starter was the tortilla soup, and mine, the stone (seafood) soup. For mains hers was the fajitas, which she enjoyed, and mine was the rosemary pork, which is one of the tastiest dishes I've ever eaten - a sensible-sized portion, some might find it missing some side plates. The bad - The service, overall, was very disappointing. We were served by two waiters of polar opposite dispositions. The first couldn't manage a smile, and seemed intent on pressuring us to buy a bottle of wine, despite the fact that we are not big drinkers so only wanted a glass or two each, and prefer white and red wine, respectively. He then disappeared and was replaced by a very friendly and enthusiastic waiter, who almost redeemed the service until he took an order for drinks (water and wine) and never came back. After sitting for 20 minutes with empty glasses and our main plates still on the table and no sign of dessert, we left. Considering that this restaurant is in the "Privelege" lobby, we expected the experience to at least be equal to that received in the Akumal's buffet restaurant, which had been consistently beyond reproach.

Of all the restaurants at Bahia Principe this is the only one we were not impressed with. Service was great but food was bad. My pizza without olives came cold with extra olives and husbands medium steak was raw. Pick one of the others

The Mexican food is great specially the food at the bar, the salads , tacos , salsas and more. The restaurant seems understaffed but Roger was great on taking care of more than 8 tables at once. Thank you Roger for taking care of us.
