Cp Rental - 77600 San Miguel de Cozumel

I came to Mexico with my girlfriend for the weekend and we spent an entire day at cozumel. Upon arrival at the ferry we met with the sales lady Brenda and she came off as just another sales person but she was actually really nice & helpful. We rented 2 Honda scooters before getting to Cozumel. On the ferry me and my girlfriend looked at reviews for CP Rental and they were all pretty bad. Long story short, we actually had a good experience. They didn’t give us any trouble, we paid $15 each extra for collision and they charged us $150 for both scooters for the entire day. I was skeptical at first because of the reviews but we had a good experience with them. Just thought I’d share with anyone who is in the sames shoes I was. Enjoy !

Extremely deceitful company. We bought ferry tickets and a “convertible” car before hand at one of the booths. Pictures looked nice, once we got there the car was a complete POS. The floor was rotted with holes, no seat belt worked, the radio and fans didn’t work, even the horn did not work. And they charged us $60. Avoid at all costs.

Very poor service. Look the photos of Jeep that we have rent. There's no step and several details in the car.... Looked like that was broken. And I have asked if the car was revised and there was no problem, and the guy say "no problem". The cost of Jeep was usd 100. Price not fair. Look out.

We rented a beaten old car and they gave it to me with 3/4 tank full, to make it hard to calculate how much to put in. Of course when we returned it full, got no reimbursement. The worst thing was that the car breaks were dangerously long. Avoid this place if you can. If you can't here's my advice: try 1 gallon gas at the time until you get to the proper level

Worst experience ever. Avoid renting from them. They are thieves. Gave us a beat up scooter. Scratches everywhere. Luckily I took pictures before we headed out. Low and behold they still charged us for the scratches at the bottom of the scooter!!! I called the police but they were no help. I was forced to give them $60 us dollars. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!!!

Bikes are extremely unsafe and my other half burnt her leg on the exhaust as it was not covered by a safeguard. When we returned the scooter still on full (we did a whole 20km) we were asked to pay an additional amount to fill the bike up. Would not recommend this company!

WARNING: This place is an ABSOLUTE SCAM. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. The cars are in PATHETIC CONDITION and highly modified. And the people here are rude as well. They have a LOT OF HIDDEN FEES and charge your card more than they promise. When we asked for our "Chevy Convertible" they brought a car that was had its roof sawed off, and covered in rust. The attendant was confused when I asked it why IT HAD NO SEATBELT and why THERE WAS RUST ALL OVER THE INSIDE AND OUTSIDE of the car. They also told me that they are doing me a favor by not charging me more for an "upgrade" to a Volkswagen convertible with a working seatbelt. See photos of the condition of that car. They also have a RIGGED ODOMETER. When we returned the car, we were told that we drove 14KM according to the meter, but we barely drove the car 5-6KM since we did not feel that it was comfortable or safe. They charged us $200MXN ($10USD) for fuel charges for that. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

We went on a scooter ride but didn't get to go around the whole island because it was already getting dark outside and we didn't want to miss our ferry back to Playa del Carmen. Cozumel is very beautiful! I recommend for you to go during the day. Experience with the scooter rental was great.
