CrossFit 954 Puerto Escondido - 71980 Puerto Escondido

I don’t write many reviews but given the special place that CrossFit 954 is, this review is warranted. TLDR: if you find yourself living in or visiting Puerto Escondido, look no further for your fitness needs. The long version: working out is important to me. Doesn’t matter if I’m home, traveling, working, etc. I’m one of those people who needs to work out in order to feel mentally balanced / well. And it’s a priority when I’m not home in Brooklyn, to keep my routine going. CrossFit 954 came highly recommended from locals for a reason. Fred and his team (including Poncho and Charlie) made me feel welcome before I even set foot into the box. In fact when messaging them over WhatsApp in the beginning they said, “Come when you want, it’s your house.” Needless to say, that set the tone for my entire week in Puerto Escondido. This place checks all the boxes you’d want from a CrossFit experience. Challenging (but doable) workouts? ✅ Knowledgeable coaches (who actually coach)? ✅ Welcoming and friendly members? ✅ The right equipment? ✅ I’m only sad that I have to leave tomorrow (but obvi getting my 7AM class in first). One piece of advice to tourists / foreigners: you do not need to be able to speak Spanish, but please make a small effort to at least communicate with the basic phrases including (and I can’t believe I have to write this) please and thank you. A ++ experience. Thank you Fred and team!!!!!

Excellent CrossFit gym, the space is well equipped the staff are friendly and knowledgeable staff. Loved training here, I would highly recommend it ??

This was my very first CrossFit experience and I was extremely lucky to be introduced to the sport at CrossFit 954. The coaches were knowledgable, enthusiastic and incredibly friendly! The equipment is safe and reliable, and the workouts were diverse, fun and easily modified depending on fitness level. I'm really going to miss this gym and the people who are part of this awesome community!! Highly recommend :)

Super addition to Puerto Escondido and local to us here in Rinconada. Fred, Fabrizio, Grace & Charly are all great coaches and the gym is new and well equipped, Easy to book with the app and full of friendly locals to welcome you in.

These guys are the best! I stayed in Puerto for almost 2 months and used the gym quite often. The instructers are super sweet, cheerful and really good at what they do! They corrected my technique a lot, and really helped me to learn new things! I came to work out, but I ended up leaving a bunch of great friends ? Only downside is that they are not open between 1 and 5 and on Sundays, but I guess people can make that work ? Only recommendations for Fred and his crew!

This is a gym that anyone can walk into and feel welcomed. If you are looking to drop-in or just want to do open gym, CrossFit 954 got your back with a variety of subscription plans. Very well equipped, get your stuff and pay them a visit. A big thank you to Fred and his amazing team.

5 Stars is not enough for this spot, I had never done Crossfit before and now I love it. They have the best coaches, equipment and attitude to help you reach your fitness goals. Also you can find true friends here if you are new in town. Special thanks to coaches Ale,Jorge, Vani y Fred SON LO MEJOR!!!!
