Crowne Plaza Tuxpan, an IHG Hotel - 92773 Túxpam de Rodríguez Cano

This hotel needs to put a note in there page stating that it is under renovation and that some areas are closed such as 1 restaurant, the executive level (no breakfast) no free breakfast and the staff does not speak English.

Great views, loved the hotel pool. Just watch out on who gets a copy of your room key. They don't ask for the name on the room before handing it over

Besides the staff needing to break into my room several times due to a broken key card reader. And them still selling rooms to the point of being sold out,, when my colleagues leave early and a room came available, instead of switching the door hardware, you sold that room for the night......twice. It was fun waiting 1 to 1.5 hours to get into my room night after night after working 15 hours a day. Oh, here is 5000 points? I'll tell you where you can put those points. You waste 5 full nights of my extremely limited free time due to your incompetence..........and you want to give me 5000 points. Tell me how many nights that gets me at one of your hotels........ I may not have control over where I stay when working in Mexico. But I work in the states 90% of the time ..... I WILL NOT STAY AT A IHG HOTEL IF I HAVE ANY SAY, WHICH I DO IN THE STATES. I need TO BE well rested and you've proven that to be a challenge for your brand to accomodate.

Overall, my stay was just what I was looking for, a good few days off with my family. Nonetheless, it is worth mentioning two inconveniences I faced: First, I came in at 5:00 pm and the room was not ready, got to wait just above an hour to get the room. I've been told it was due to understaff and it is kind of understandable due to day I checked in, but it is a matter of better planning/forecasting to have back up plans. Secondly, at one moment, a person from the staff was within the people looking to get in the elevator, it was my turn to step in and although he was kind all times, he asked the following group in line (a family of 4) to get into the same elevator I got in. Given the current contingency times we are facing, you got to teach and remind the staff to follow the guidelines in all common areas (elevator has a sign to allow not more than 2 people in it).

Bed was comfortable but, not enough pillows provided. Restaurant staff was not nearly as responsive as they should have been for the lack of guests in attendance, but Front Desk service was quite professional and good. Gold star for Bellman and manager. AC did not work in two of the rooms offered

I was very disappointed for the price of the rooms I did not feel it was up to the standards set by the brand. AC didn't work, switched room, still didn't work in second room. Restaurant staff were too busy chatting with each other to tend to guests during dinner, in spite of there only being 2 tables with guests! Food took a long time to be served. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful as was bellman. Rooms were clean and comfortable, although only 2 pillows on the king bed. Overall not worth the cost

Me he quedado aquí varias veces. El lugar es bueno, limpio en áras comunes, accesible. Buenos servicios también. El staff es amable. Sin embargo, en el cuarto al parecer el cambio de sábanas y de cubierta de almohadas no es frecuente: había olores en la cama a "cabeza" en la almohada y a sudor en la sábana. Eran leves, pero estaban ahí. Además, en el momento de nuestra estadía (Noviembre 2021) NO vigilan para NADA el cumplimiento de sana distancia entre empleados ni entre huéspedes, ni tampoco vigilan que todos los huéspedes usen cubrebocas en áreas comunes como elevadores (donde no hay ventilación), aun siendo esto visible para los empleados del hotel. Ambas cosas, uso de cubrebocas y distanciamiento social parecieran opcionales a criterio del huésped. Inclusive tomarse la temperatura al entrar es opcional. Uno esperaría que el hotel fuera mas cuidadoso con las medidas de prevención. Si no te interesa esta parte de prevención de un posible contagio, entonces es un buen lugar.

Clean, quiet, and comfortable with plenty of hot water and fast wifi. The food in the restaurant is pretty good, and the service there is excellent. The balcony was a nice touch. The fitness center is a bit on the basic side, but very nice and well-kept. Great for business travel. I'd definitely stay there again.
