Cúlico comes from the Nahuatl word "kul" and "ko" which means "land of wise elders" Cradle where is born one of the great dances that represent the state of Tabasco, from the time of the conquest, I do not mean another one but the "Dance David and Goliath"

It lacks the presence of so many people so that their help is convenient for its maintenance, the most important people are those who arrive and leave grateful, the place is representative of the works that are carried out

Culico means "Old Town" or "Land of the elderly". It was one of the first towns to settle in the state of Tabasco, on the banks of the now Cunduacan River, when it was a regulator of Old Mezcalapa, before its first break. Formed by a mixture between Mayans and Mexica. A dance was danced that coincided on dates, with the festivities that took place in Tenochtitlan, between the end of November and the beginning of December, when the Dominicans arrived they gave it the religious tinge to turn it into the current dance of David and Goliath, which is danced on December 7 and 8 of each year.
