★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Real De Catorce is a gem. If you talk with the local people, you will make friends easily. There's so much to do in this tiny town- visit the old church and cemetery, or the springs next to it. Amor Y Paz social club often has live music on the weekends. They are located just above the church downtown. Hike to Cerro Del Quemado on a cool day for stunning views and a peaceful experience. And of course, the Centro Cultural has great art and history exhibits.
Please be respectful. Don't give tourists a bad reputation. Try to offer as much as you consume, by supporting local artisans, and bringing kindness and respect. Have fun and enjoy beautiful Real!!
PS do not drink the tap water or eat veggies washed in the tap water!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing place for cultural enrichment. The cathedral was pretty cool. Wifey and I were tasting everything. Best food there was the Cheese ice cream!!
Interesting place, and the tunnel was something else. Wish I could come back here again or had more time to explore!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Old World / Town Vibe. However, a lot of vendors passed the tunnel, I didn't expect a Swapmeet. Wish they didn't use a single horse for a large eight passenger carrier with car chassis and tires. If you pass all the vendors, you will make it to a zipline from mountain view point to another mountain top. Spectacular views with a restaurant right on the edge. If you dare go ahead and walk on the glass floor. Of course that's another fifty pesos. LOL
